you're not even using the Bigsby during Lenny! I mean, the vibrato by hand sounds perfect, but that's what the bigsby is for! I understand though, you must've gotten so used to having a solid tailpiece you just do all vibrato with your left hand huh? I'm the same way.
From someone who is considering buying one of the se Epi's It's refreshing and helpful to hear a guitar taken through it's paces to show the variety of sounds that can be extracted with a relatively clean sounding amp setting.
If you're gonna play Lenny to demo this particular guitar, why wouldn't you use the Bigsby tremolo? It just didn't make sense.... I was waiting for it.
@pavotibio Usual problem for guitar going out of tune with a fixed bridge is that slots in the nut (plastic part near tuners) are too tight. Loosen strings 1 tone, lift each string out. If you hear a "ping" sound, then that slot is too small. You can fix with #600 wet-dry sandpaper. Fold tightly in half. Sand sides of slot only. Sand a little, check fit of string. When ping is gone, re-tune, play. Now the string will not stick. Or a music shop can identify and fix the cause. Good luck.
@pavotibio Mine came standard and I attatched a Bigsby and then I had tuning problems. When I went back to the standard tailpiece it's pretty much never goes out.
Certainly one of the sweetest sounds out there for the money. has a voice of its own and can hang w/ the big dogs. Can get one used for 350 to 600 depending upon the model. Epiphone did well with the casino.
Hey, because of this video I also bought an Epiphone Casino and together with a Fender Princeton it sounds really great though it's just a "Made in China" ... actually I am really impressed. It sounds much better than my custom Heritage , which I sold years ago. But I had to change the stock tuners and the saddle ..
thats wonderful, love the old Epiphones like these, all them SG's and Les Pauls with Epiphone on the headstock to me are just junky, i think Guitars like these are the sex!
I just got one of these a few days ago. I know mine feedsback like crazy if I use any distortion or hi-gain. But the tone is killer, love those P90's. I would like a Bigsby but wondered if the full hollow body would support one. Is there any sort of support block under the trem part of the rig? Mine has nothing in that area.
@carlomirabile The B70 is basically the same as the B7. The B7 is accurate...and about 150.00. The B70 can be found on ebay for 99.00. I have a B70 on mine. Changed the bridge to a roiller bridge. It is the shits...
I have a H&K 60-R.... besides the volume and speaker size, the biggest difference is that the 30 R has a Jensen speaker and the 15R and 60R have Celestion
Sorry if i make stupids questions, but, do you recomend install a Bigsby in a John Lennon Epiphone Casino?i ask cos' i want to have a Epiphone like Paul Mccartney, but cooperate with donating money to the John Lennon Music Fundation.

Do you get a lot of feedback with this guitar? For example when playing a gig at high volumes. It would certainly be a nuisance if we can't control it.
@yumopyumop The old rock players in the 60's & 70's used to fill the cavity with cotton wool to prevent high gain feed-back, it works very well, stops the arch top resonating too much.
I use mine for hard rock, and jazz for school, so it can handle high gain, as long as your experienced using your volume control :), it's incredibly versatile
do you think theres a sound difference between this guitar and the more expensive John Lennon insipired casino w/the supposedly US made P-90's? which I think is way overpriced..
Great job, when was yours made? I have a factory limited edition with bigsby from the 90's. I don't see many of them around. I know they also made a limited edition in aprox 2006. I think they are great guitars and have had mine for aprox 13 years.
