  • I hope one day my life will take me down a path where I can make a difference in people lives.

  • I just saw your film, the Machine Gun Preacher. Hell of a good film, and all respect for your work!

    great guy.

    also the movie was brilliant.

  • Hat's Off to your Struggle from Pakistan, May God Bless you and your Family....

  • hats off to you mister

    greets from germany

  • AWESOME. i hope this guy is forreal not like all the crooks you alwasy see. I feel for his story, i live in an abusive home, and every time i think about killing myself i stop and think "i cant. ppl need someone to help them out. and i have the passion to do that. i cant kill myself bc i need to stay alive for them."

  • I'm not a christian, I believe that their could be a "higher power" out there but I don't take the bible as the word of God(just my belief). But religious or not, it doesn't matter because my full respect goes to Sam Childers for what he's done for this world. A good person is a good person, whether you believe he had a call from God or not or he did it from his own freewill and the goodness of his heart. Respect to the man...

  • People have had a conscience long before your god had even been dreamt up. People across the the world with different beliefs manage to figure out the difference between right and wrong. It's easy to thank god when you're a westerner but the majority of people who have it shit don't get anything by praying. Anyway, my next stop is a six month tour in Lebanon where I'll be inbetween Muslims, Christians and Jews, all thinking they're right. I'll be putting my faith in my blue helmet thanks!

  • are u people eating this shit up! do a little more research people..pleaz!

  • Don't get it wrong... HUMANITY has nothing to do with RELIGION !!! If u judge people by religion, u're no better than the people who are killing children in Sudan and Rwanda (because of ethnicity)...In fact, u as christians must know better than anybody that ONLY GOD CAN JUDGE US!

  • "No greater love has a man than this, that he lay down his life for his friends."

  • If you read his book youll see right through his lies hes in it for the money

  • Hes a liar

  • best damn movie i ever seen, one you have got to see, full of excitement, keeps you on the edge of your seat, support the cause, keep up the good work sam.

  • Sam Childers = LEGEND

  • @1:40-1:43 true foken warrior hero right there. Im glad the world still has men lke sam.

  • lol at the " I never see an Atheist help in Africa". Did you ever think that its because you only hang around and work for a christian organization ? Or are you in the habit of asking everyone's religious affiliation when you first meet em? Can't believe the guy below me claim "almost no atheist help in Nairobi and Kenya" .. just because he live there for a while. uh-huh .. so you know everyone that live in those city? cool story. Good luck tryin to buy ur way into heaven with charity though

  • GOD BLESS SAM & HIS MEN & THE CHILDREN OF THE SUDAN & UGANDA! THANK YOU FOR THIS INSPIRING CLIP ...

  • We need more people like him in the world.

  • Sam Childers - God bless you!

  • At first I thought that maybe Sam was just a biker gang member looking for some real warfare. That maybe he was a psychopath leaving to war-torn Africa as a way to quench his blood lust, unburdened by law and order.

But after reading more about him and watching these interviews I think he's sincere in his quest to help orphaned children. The emotion looks genuine.

  • what newscast is this? what network?

  • @81rrr It was for "This Week In Torrance". Located in Torrance, California. The network is CITICable 3. It is a local news station. I met Sam Childers while hosting a charity event and asked if he could do an interview with the station. He was gracious enough to do so. I am fortunate to know such an incredible and influential person.

  • @cheninecayetano wow, That is amazing man!

  • JayEvangelist09 their families no matter the cost. Because if you say you do then I'm going to ask how many times have you gone into a rebel camp and just taken the kids out and back to their homes. I will not question your faith and I ask you not to question Sams faith. I believe you both to be men of God and both doing what you both believe God has called you to do. Only the Lord has the right to question your faith and judge you on behalf. Not you nor does anyone have any right to do so.

  • JayEvangelist09 for himself. He gives these kids hope. Men of God have used weapons to kill for 1000s of years in the name of the Lord. You should know this when you read the Bible. You reach out to people who are not in the same circumstances as the ones Sam does and you have your way of reaching out to people. I praise you both for that but do not sit there and JUDGE Sam nor say he has traumatized these kids when clearly he and a few others have the love and passion to bring these kids back to

  • JayEvangelist09 You speak of being traumatized. These kids have been taken from their families, mother and father killed in most cases in front of them. Some the mothers were raped in front of them some killed and in most cases both. Their friends at times executed or blown up in front of them. Sisters made slaves and them turned into mindless killers. Sam helps bring these kids back to a few mothers who were not killed or to other relatives that will LOVE and CARE for them and others he cares

  • If anyone needs to die, Joseph Kony needs it dearly. As the leader of the LRA, he is perhaps one of the most evil people on the planet. Lets hope Mr Childers gets him.

  • i really hope he doesn't pop up in a scandal and keeps his ego in check. It seems like he's making a positive change and it'd be a shame to let stuff like that wreck his credibility.

  • @agencyman1 I said I was done but since you asked a question I will give you an answer. I am in a country where its own people have turned against one another raping the women and killing the men and children. The problem is Sam goes out armed, so he does go out to kill people, killing is not a side effect, it is a goal. I do lift a finger to help, by preaching the Gospel which has power to save and transform and we are seeing the fruit of that, our weapons are not carnal my friend.

  • @agencyman1 Sam is in Sudan, not Libya. Saving the orphans is one thing, HE JOINED A FOREIGN ARMY!!!! He is not only protecting the orphans in places where the Mujihadeen cannot reach them, he is fighting with an already armed group (he has no place doing that). What he does for the orphans is fine, killing people with the SSA is not

  • @agencyman1 Killing bad guys does not prevent evil, the children see you kill the bad guys and they are traumatized for life, believe me, I write that from experience. As a Christian you have no right to take another life, period. Just because he who bears the sword does not do so in vain, does not mean that YOU can violate Christs teachings, and start killing people. You are wrong, and I am done here.

  • @agencyman1 I did not say that I do not count the Old Testament at all but maybe you should read Hebrews 8 AND the 4 Gospels, we are under a New Covenant, a better convenant, and not bound to the Law nor to walk as those men did in the Old Testament. Galatians says that if you take part of the Law, you must take it all, correct? So start stoning disobedient children as well, along with many other things. You do not know how to rightly divide the Word, study to show yourself approved!

  • @agencyman1 And John the Baptist commanded soldiers to do no violence to no man, again it is not specific, it is general, we are not to hurt others. John the Baptist said that to soldiers, yet violence is part of a soldiers job, isnt it? I only pray that God casts not thou into Hell for your point of view on this because you, are utterly wrong.

  • @agencyman1 Thou shalt not kill, since you like the Old Testament, you do realize that in Exodus anyone who smites a man so that he should die, should be put to death right? It is not case specific. Who defended Jesus by cutting off the ear of one who came to arrest Him? What did Jesus say? I have never spoken against his help to the orphans, I think that is great, but he has no place sending Muslim mujihadeen to Hell, which is exactly what he is doing.

  • @JayEvangelist09 it depends on your translation. My bible says do not murder, not do not kill. God commanded many men to kill throughout the Bible.

  • @Russoft That point has already been addressed, please read the previous comments

  • just goes to show

God never forgets or abandons his people

  • @agencyman1 You use Old Testament examples instead of what Jesus taught? Nice try, but unless you are Jewish then you cannot legitimately use that. What did JESUS CHRIST teach about how to treat our enemies? I think the trauma of seeing yourself kill someone would not allow you to sleep, unless you do it often, and I have seen the aftermath of something like that, you would have trouble sleeping.

  • I could care less about religion. This man deserves respect, and I honor his passion and compassion. Most of the people "chirping" below are getting fat on their couches with little more input that venting their pathetic, miserable, sad little lives. To them, I say "BOOO!".

  • I myself am an atheïst, and allways will be. I tend to stay as far away from religeous people since in general they creep me right the f** out.

Not this man though, this individual has left me in awe, it is encoureaging to see such a force of human compassion.

I truelly hope his book, and the upcomming movie, give a hefty financial boost to his cause

  • @ghookspambot The guy being interviewed is one of those religious people that creeps you out dude...

  • Thankfully, as an athiest, I dont really have to start analysing scrupture to try figure out if something is right or wrong. I've got my own moral compass and I can safely say this guy doesn't have a bad bone in his body. Fuck those child enslaving, raping scumbags. If you believe in a God that thinks what he does is wrong then its no better then sitting by and letting evil happen. "All that is needed for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing"

  • @bofirithe thank you .. its amazing where people place their adoration these days when actual heroes like him exist.

  • @bofirithe Wether you are atheist catholic muslim budhist taoist or whatever you want to believe if you let the light shine through you your actions will save lives instead of destroying them. I personally have my faith in CHRIST and your comment was a blessing to me. There is good in everybody regardless of their belief. My father was also a atheist for a long time of his life and killed and hurt many people in Africa in the Angolan war and during its "independence" but one thing he did too:

  • @bofirithe He was a great father. A good friend. A good husband. A helping hand to whoever came to him in need wether stranger or known. I wish more of us christians would stop judging others for their choices. Its really not up to us. Thanks bro. Keep well. May GOD bless.

  • @bofirithe This sounds great in theory. In practice, when I was in Kenya, working a homes for street kids and spending time in orphanages, do you know how many atheists I met? I'll give you a hint: The number rhymes with one of the famous roman dictators (nero)

  • @MPaulHolmes

Well Paul, Africa is a pretty big place. I myself spent 6 months in Liberia and another 6 months in Chad with the UN and I can primise you that I did my bit same as everyone else. And when I was a kid my mother who is a nurse, and an athiest, spent severel years in Belarus going from orphanage to orphanage and being exposed to radiation and having to live in awful conditions and she did that all by herself without asking any God for help.

  • @bofirithe You are right. Africa is a HUGE place. I'm not saying atheists don't help orphans in Africa. I'm saying that almost no atheists help orphans in Nairobi, Kenya, and Kisumu Kenya. I can only speak for those 2 cities, since those are the only 2 cities I have lived in for any significant time in Africa.

  • @MPaulHolmes I was also in Gulu, Uganda where the LRA has totally destroyed and ravaged not only most of the citizens but the land as well. In the time I was there I didn't meet any atheists also. The people working there and helping are "working" to bring Glory to God. Matters WHO is getting the glory. Peace.

  • @bofirithe Everyone has a moral compass, it's called Moral Law. And I believe the Bible captures the essence of this. However the real question is this: are you willing to sacrifice your life for the sake of others? How many people do you see getting up off their butts, giving up their wealth and comforts to save others? The answer is very few. Now, one doesn't need to go all the way to Africa to make such a difference; charity begins at home after all - But even this is rare in today's world.

  • @bofirithe That "moral compass" you mentioned is more then you think. You should know that...that's God talking to you. Your 'conscience' is God's way of telling you what is right and wrong and His way of helping you see what needs to be seen. And sitting by when evil things are happening may not always be good, but causing unnecessary violence or death is equally terrible. You must rely on God to reveal to you what is best to do.

  • @bofirithe and yet u atheists can only talk about how great u r on the internet. If ur trying to belittle childers simply for being religious ur gonna fail misserably. And i'm an african muslim but i don't care f he not my religion. What matters is he helps poor africans who are victims of western matreialistic greed. U know the thing u atheists now worship instead of god.

  • @Ameer18

Well, if you had actually bothered to read my previous posts before you got on your high horse you'd see that I have nothing but respect for him and the work he does. I just wanted to point out that I went to Africa and tried to do my part with out any imaginary friend helping me. As for them being victims of the west? I think you'll find they are the victims of african warlords and corrupt African polititions.

  • so we're all damned pretty much. We're all going to hell thanks to Mr. Fundamentalist here. Well that's just great, let's have a party in hell, I'll bring the beers.

  • God bless this good man!

  • what a legend (:

  • totally movie material

  • i mean financially

  • why doesnt da american government support this guy

  • @MrMiami305goon territory....

  • Sam Childers is my hero!

  • This bearded white man is real

  • Great book and a greater man!

  • he looks like a MERC awesome.

  • Ah how wonderful, either Americans are the "white space Christ" from "African Child" or they are the CIA.

  • This is what being a Christian is truly about. Not just hanging around at church with believers. But being salt of the earth & light of the world. To my police friends, NO he did NOT violate Roms 13:1-4

  • That is a Respectable mustache

  • Good thing: helping the orphans, not a good thing: Fighting and killing Mujihadeen with the Christian rebel group turned political party.. That kind of thing is not found in the teachings of Christ anywhere.

  • @JayEvangelist09 It's a form of self defense, should they just sit and let themselves be killed, let the evils train children to kill, somebody has to stand up for them and help them defend them selves, and why not someone with the power of God on his side, I'm Christian and I'll all for what the wonderful man is doing.

  • @Danaalisa21 I know what it is, and I am no stranger to what war is either. It is one hundred percent against the teachings of Jesus Christ to take up a weapon and kill ones enemies, you cannot say other wise, Christ is right. you are not. To live is Christ, to die is gain, it is that simple. Christ went as a lamb led to the slaughter and could have called legions of angels down from Heaven, or fire from Heaven, to annihilate those who arrested Him. He did not. Christ is right, you are not.

  • @JayEvangelist09 Then how do we actually save these people.

Instead of sitting on our pews, singing hymns, donating money, and praying nonstop.

  • @julzshin By doing the right half of what he is doing, setting up shelter for the orphaned, and if possible taking these brothers and sisters into our homes. Killing them is not right, apart from the fact that it sends them to Hell, the Holy Bible says thou shalt not kill. Again, I am in a country where pastors and brothers here have been killed and we will not take up weapons to defend ourselves, rather rely on the power of God.

  • @JayEvangelist09 OK, but what about soldiers protecting people for the good do they go to hell?god kills people its in the bible he also had a war with Satan for the good its all about what your fighting for if this man is fighting to protect children and others he will not go to hell but possibly even be rewarded for what he did

  • @coke378 Um... taking a life is taking a life, and you said it, God and Christians wage a war, not against flesh and blood but against the powers of darkness, that is also taught in Scripture. If a soldier is killed in battle while 'defending' someone from someone else, meaning that he is attempting to kill the attacker, yes, he would go to Hell.

  • @JayEvangelist09 but hes doing it for good, that wouldnt make much sense its no premeditated and its not like they want to.

  • @coke378 It is never good to kill someone and send them to Hell, Jesus said to love your enemies, feed them when they are hungry, not mow them down with an Uzi

  • @JayEvangelist09 Is it good to sit and watch kids getting killed. That kind of enabling is why bad people can do whatever they want. It takes men with balls to lay down the law.

  • @verkpunk Oh what a vulgar way to put it, look I am no stranger to battle, not video game battle, the real thing, I have seen people die. It is terrible that children are killed, but killing them and then calling yourself a Christian makes you a murderous Hell bound hypocrite. Did the Apostle Paul write, we are counted as lambs led to the slaughter? Yes, he did, find out what that means exactly.

  • @JayEvangelist09 one mans terrorist is anothers freedom fighter and sometimes revolutionarys are neccessary

  • @JayEvangelist09 So all the christian men and women in our Armed Forces, protecting and affording our God given right to freedom are wrong?, this Man who's protecting the rights of these children to live as you and I have lived, without persecution is wrong?, I don't think so, difference of opinion maybe. Yes you are right, Christ said to love your enemies, but a protector is the epitome of who He is, and you know He is against the harming of children.

  • @Danaalisa21 Christians cannot take an oath to protect their country AND serve Jesus. Goodbye

  • @JayEvangelist09 Part 2, I don't mean to berate you , but I feel the need to say this, God sanctioned many wars in the OT, he told people to kill those that needed to be evil people. Our human nature may argue that those who were killed deserved a benefit of the doubt but obviously God knows best and to me whatever God says goes. Sam is not guilty of murder, in what I understand of the story, he's not seeking to murder those Criminals. He defending children and their right to a safe life.

  • @Danaalisa21 I have made my points in this argument, so feel free to go thru and read them. I am not in America and I have a problem with American imperialism implemented by their military, so please do not get me started. You obviously fail to realize WHY Israel was sent to fight those wars.

  • Gracias a Dios que existen personas valientes

  • @collachina Las personas valientes se enfrentan con los enemigos de Dios sin armas.

  • Thank you all for watching and for your comments! My interview with him was incredible. Many things he said in the interview were so poignant, it was difficult to choose sound bites. He is an amazing person!

  • What an inspiring story! I'm so looking forward to the movie next year. I'm telling all my family & friends about it. Praying for you Sam & your ministry. God Bless!

  • I got the book a couple of weeks ago and look forward to reading it this summer. I'm a fan of Gerard Butler's so I've been following progress on the movie to be made about Sam's life and his work in Africa. I hope the film does his story justice and helps bring more attention to what is going on there and what Sam is doing about it.

  • Sam-

You have the fire of Beethoven. I'll send some money.

    Cheers
