(Just a hint) You should perhaps just re-post or re-title this post as "Bach Prelude in C major" simply to keep the persnickety nitpickers off your back. Yes, your info box obviously SAYS that this is a SHORTENED VERSION, but they never read those important things, do they? They're too busy griping. "Where's the fugue?! No fugue! Hey, what about the fugue?" Your playing is beautiful, so let thos detractos words carry the weight of a grain of salt. Ha! Let them all go fugue themselves!
You might be hearing the digital "chiff" of the MDS pipe samples. The newer models are much more authentic. I like chiff and it takes good attack technique to make the best of it. Legato is for communion and funerals. Post some more! Bravo!
You are quite skilled, lovely performance...are you using legato touch? The notes sound just a tad "sticky". This is all a matter of personal taste, of course, but I would tend towards ordinary touch in a piece like this. Still, lovely playing.
Thanks. Not really using much of a legato touch. When I copied the video to my laptop, it got kind of messed up a bit. Same happened to my other videos.
It is; I listened again and, indeed, it is the recording. However, don't put down staccato - as long as the staccato is contrasted well with a nice legato, the effect can be quite lovely.
very very well done I love th pice. I have plaed it in band(piccolo) not exacley the sme and we took it bit slower but "you did it up right" were is the fugue?

Im Moment mein Lieblingsstück, weil ich es jeden Tag beim Ueben meines Sohnes höre. Der junge Mann spielt es echt ansprechend. Schön!

Too many people think "oh I'm playing a piece from the Baroque Era, I better kill the audience with staccato!" His articulation is quite nice.
