the reason why "citizen band" is a bit of a disappointment is because hardly anyone uses the CB band anymore. It is seldom used here in the usa anymore....except for truckers
nice review. have you tried to charge from the usb port ? did it work ? i was going to buy the eton scorpion but why would i relly want to pay 60-70$ on a radio that i will use maby onece in while ? so it would be verry helpful of you to respond to my questions ..
@rodster6 yeah that´s the same problem with the other known brand crank radios but at least it works. In a survival situation that would be relly helpful to just be able to load the phone and make a emergency call ..
as it has a battery option as well as crank and solar charger. and it has a shor waves tuner.
I bought a crank powerplus radio, but it hadnt battery option for power, and no short waves.
I opend it to see what kind of rechargable betteries are inside, and that was quite weak, as it is in most of crank powerd devises. so I gave it back)) and went after something with SW and battery option as well
on the left side of the hand crank there's the NiMH rechargeable batteries pack compartment if you ever need to replace it, this is a well design and build emergency radio, Degen build great SW receivers for the price
Iv just ordered mine off eBay for under £20 delivered, think it will be handy in a shtf situation

@markeii It did charge my phone but you have to crank pretty hard/quick and it would take quite a while to charge the phone enough to make a call.
