In 1984, Bulgaria which was a member of the old soviet union and which was the original country for Suleimanoglu before he defected to Turkey, his ancestor homeland, boycotted the los angeles olymipcs and thus depriving him from participating in that year. However, Moscow through a goodwill olympics that year, a month later and suleimanoglu's total was like 40 kilos more than what the guy who won in LA, so I count that as well.

Comparisons are in order. Pablo Lara power cleaned 190 at 76---two & a half x bodyweight. Kaxi at 99 would have had to do 247.5kg power clean to match that on percent. Lara's 205 on You Tube really looked like he could have matched Varbanov's 215.5 and later Lara did 208--one kg off Rusev. Lara was the greatest lifter to ever come from the Western Hemisphere. There is an efficiency "curve" in lifters correlated to increasing size and height which is why supers can never = smallers on %

This is actually a power jerk since his hips didn't go below parallel which made it even more impressive. If he had gone below parallel or into a full squat like some of the Chinese lifters do it would be called a squat jerk.

its not sped up, this is actually speed. i can drop that fast, its not im possible. all you have to do is contract your hamstring quick pull on the bar to launch yourself down. your fast but it can be very unstable and lose the lift like that.
