We are grateful to nature, we are grateful to gods who created all of these lives on this earth, but we're so sad that the nature destroyed lives so bad like this, destroyed hopes and families.

More like 14 hours. But I digress. A sad reality is that a standing military for is a requisite for a nation to survive. It doesn't matter how rich the nation, either, sometimes the powers that be are pathetically ineffective at dealing with disasters. @InfernosReaper Ireland, Switzerland, Iceland and many other countries don't have a military(or have a very small one) and they survive perfectly. Pakistan spends ALOT of money on their military so if they can afford to do that then they can afford to help themselves, just like the United States did after Hurricane Katrina.
@KungFuMisty Ireland doesn't need a military when it can form a force like the IRA & doesn't have anyone to fight anymore. Switzerland does have a military force. More importantly none of your listed examples are adjacent to countries like Afgahnastan and India(sure, not a threat to us, but last time I checked, they hate the people of Pakistan, but I guess having someone next door to you who wants you dead isn't a good reason to try to protect yourself)
@InfernosReaper If it were for the sole purpose of protection your sarcasm would have made a hell lotta sense bro...but that's not pak is upto...the last three wars waged were started by pak...pak is infiltrating into Indian territory...'m not suggesting the indians are correct...but its high time pakistan gave priority to other aspects of their economy and be content with whatever military might they might've.
