Not all zombie stories are about zombies. I think The Walking Dead is a little more about ordinary people and how they'd survive and cope in extreme situations. The extreme situation being the zombie apocalypse.

My fave character is Daryl Dixon. I can't wait to see how his character develops. I hope Lori gets her intestines ripped out. I don't like her character. I also like Glenn and Dale. I hope they don't get eatten.

The guy with the gray hair is dale and he doesn't have a job because he was traveling around the world with his wife, who died of cancer so he went all around the world to find a cure and after she dies he just gave up and started just fishing and camping out and if it wasn't for him the survivors wouldn't be there because he was the first, he created the camp and let people stay and cared for Andrea and Amy as his own so he is a very important character, so don't give him any grief.....

im currently reading the comic series.

the show is NOTHING like the comic book. the first 2 episodes are like the book, then it just goes on a huge tangent and is nothing like it.

this show is bullshit compared to the comic. the writer / director of the tv show is a joke.

the only thing that is the same with the comic and the tv series now is just the characters names. nothing more.

if you like the show, read the comic and you will hate the show.

Thank you Chris Gore! I hate all these entertainment freaks that talk trash about the South but have never been and the only info they know is from movies about the 60's. I live in the south and all work our asses off for little pay. Black, White, Hispanic, Asian, you name it! The racial crap is kept in check. You put on a white sheet and no one wants anything to do with you. Sure racial stuff happens but most likely less than say NY or LA. People in the south mind their business. We have GUNS.

@skimmy6 In the comic, they avoid calling them zombies because no one wants to believe that it's happening and also they feel it will cheapen the experience. They do eventually embrace the term somewhat but actually end up calling them by a classification system instead. I hate that they call them "Geeks". Part of it feels like a stab from the creators at the audience they're serving and part of it feels like a really terrible social metaphor, considering the source.

@altois09 I agree completely. This show doesn't have enough similarity to be called by the same name. While it is great in its own right, the experience is cheapened by knowing what should be taking place as opposed to what is actually happening. I don't mind the additions that they've put into it, but some of it is starting to drag already. The revelations that they are going to give out next episode is going to dilute what the characters should be learning later. I'm disappointed.

@killallcommies1 It might not, they might be taking it down due to 'Graphic Violence' we need to stop this if it is confirmed the show may be a tad bit violent but it is one of the best shows I have ever seen. People need to watcht he show before they hate on it. Anyway season finale is next week.

FTR, Dale was a retired salesman of 40 years and had been traveling the country in his RV with his wife for the last two leading up to it. She didn't make it out of the camp and we are left to assume she was one of the people hit in the onslaught.
