@darksoul3100 I can confirm that. That was changed in the latest Demo build, which was playable at Gamescom and PAX 2011. If you search on youtube for 2011 GW2 demo videos, you will see the new changes. Also, this is not final, they might change it again, but until now, this is the current combat system in Closed Beta testing.
@GustavoMsTrashCan there are 3 types of professions: Adventure, Scholar, Soldier. Necromancer is under Scholar profession, which means they wear light armor. Also it means, that he can wear armors from Elementalist and Mesmer. Soldier professions wear heavy armor, and Adventure professions wear medium armor.

Also, each armor clothing has 3 channels, which means, you can apply 3 different colors to your armor, which makes you more unique.

@fairyella24 Anet wanted everyone to be balanced, for the most part. GW2 will be based on player skill, not character class. Every class in GW 2 will be able to Take and Deal damage, and every class has their own healing skills. But, if you want to play a class that is able to help out allies. Play something like the Guardian, who has protection skills for allies, or the necromancer who can place marks that can heal allies. But other than that, there is no dedicated healer class.
since there is no healing, dps or tanking, I'm sure youre going to see guilds of only one profession, I hope at least. I think that would ad some interesting things to the game

@panic2u You just pay for the game and every expansion pack afterwards, just like on a single player game. Also the game features a cash shop, but you only can buy cosmetic items, character slots, storage panels, change name, change gender, etc. and some new items, like Transmutation stone ( which will allow a player to transfer hes stats from a piece of equipment to another piece of equipment, so you can have your favorite armor skin with max stats )

This way, the development stage will be shorter, and they get more money for it ( which is a good think because you don't need to pay monthly fees ). best class for necro oppinions? (asura or sylvari are most choosen) I know ppl will be saying " there are no best classes.. a norn warrior is just as good as a charr warrior". but truth is, the racial skills are a bit different so that makes one more suiteble for a class then an other race, even if thats only 0,25%. so please stop saying that. but ppl are right when they say it's really more about opinions.

@Vitzartti You have about 15-20 skills for each profession, depending on what weapons you have equipped. Also, once you go into water you get 2 underwater weapons again, depending on profession, and new skills aswell. Where GW shines is the utility skill system. IIRC a dev said there are about 87,000 possible combinations. Those utility skills, combined with the weapon skills can yield some pretty hard hitting stuff... plus, it's fun as hell.

All we know is that we can make choices in our personal story-line, but we don't know if those choices are based on Good-and-Evil type games: like Mass Effect or Dragon Age, or it's gonna be based on games like The Witcher series: where you make choices based on your believes (there is no Good or Evil choice). But I prefer The Witcher type choices, because the Good and Evil choices sounds like your playing a fairy tale :)
i did not meant as you pure good or pure evil but be like evil but also have Grey shades and redeeming quality personality not by two goody shoes or psychopath monster.
@Brandonrobocop That's ok if you prefer Good and Evil choices, but how does it shapes your character more when your limited with only 2 choices ? :) Good&Evil choices are very limited, since you need to choose between good or evil answers or actions, while when you have a free will, like in Witcher games, you shape your character in any direction you wish, which is far more customizable and in-depth.
@ricoberseker Sure you can make more and various choices but they do not define your character. You can make a bad decision or made a good decision but that doesn't make your character bad nor good.
@Brandonrobocop yeah, because you yourself choose if you wish to murder a key person in the story line or not ( which can affect things around you, for example you kill a Militia Captain who who took money from civilians for protection, this can be considered "Good" for the town folk, but "Evil" for the other Militia members, you have way more choices, decisions and story branches this way ). You decide your own fate, and be Good or Evil in every single choice you make.

wow Diablo 3's Witch Doctor has Locust Swarm also... it's basically the same move but the Necromancer here uses it as an aura and the Witch Doctor's locust swarm swarms to the nearest enemies and kills them off

@rikgerats The Asura's will have a special racial skill that will give them a Battlesuit ( mech suit of some sort ). But, it's been confirmed that any race can have for a limited time a Battlesuit from NPC vendors, which cost Karma ( you get karma from Dynamic events )

@HorseRider5545 That's how the necro works in Guild Wars 1 :) But in Guild Wars 2, you don't need corpses anymore, because it's a larger world and persistent, and you won't find mobs always, so to correct this, and make necros strong as other class, they made so that you can animate corpses from thin air xD

@HaloRuler658 You get 3 armor sets ( Light/Medium/Heavy, and can be used with all 5 races ), 1 weapon from each weapon type, titles and some pets. I think it's worth it, because the armor and weapons will level up with you, so basically, you get free weapon and armor which you can use it to finish the game. If your interested, how the armor and weapons look, then go to the guild wars 2 website, search for the Hall of Monument calculator, open it, and type my name in: Rico Berseker.
@HaloRuler658 You need at least 1 stand alone campaign ( Prophecies/Nightfall or Factions ) and the expansion Eye of the North ( the expansion works only if your account has 1 stand alone campaign, and you need the expansion because only with it can you access the Hall of Monuments ). But I recommend to buy all in 1 bundle ( if you'r going to fill up the HoM ), not that it's cheaper, but also you can fill up the HoM much faster, because you have access to everywhere.
@twerpet114 I wouldn't recommend to play GW1, because it's way different, the combat in GW2 is changed entirely. Play GW1 only if your interested in the lore and of course for the Hall of Monuments ( because, if you fill it up, you get lots of bonus items, weapons, armor for GW2 characters ).

@Blainne1 If you play like 3 hours a day, and if you have 2-3 friends or maybe you get into a helpful guild, you get all 30 points ( you only need 30 points out of 50, to get all bonus items, the remaining 20 points gives only bonus titles, If you wish those titles too... then it's hard to get the last 20 points ) in like 2-3 month. Last week, GW1 had a content update, and now we can take 7 heroes in a party, so the game is really easy now, and you ONLY need to get the cheapest items for HoM.

I know gw2 is supposed to be a little different. Some people have said something about PVP servers starting you at a dif level and pve being separate, kind of confusing but I think the system will be dif in gw2 anyway, ty.
@Blainne1 In GW1, you can move your character freely between different servers and districts, there is no restrictions like in other MMO's. Also, there's is no pvp in PvE content, so this means, that you can only pvp with other players in different type of arena's, GvG ( guild vs guild ) and Alliance Battles ( largest battlefields in GW ). If you create a PvE character, you need to level it up, and so on, but if you create a PvP character, you have acces only to PvP arenas.
In the actual game, it will make enemies lose halth over time, by giving them a condition. this video is showing weak enemies versus an overpowered necro, which is not an actual situation you'll play in the game.

@panic2u YES!!!!! Free to play, you just buy the game once like any other game, then if a expansion ever comes out youll obviously have to pay for that, but there is no monthly subscription like wow. best class for necro oppinions? (asura or sylvari are most choosen) I know ppl will be saying " there are no best classes.. a norn warrior is just as good as a charr warrior". but truth is, the racial skills are a bit different so that makes one more suiteble for a class then an other race, even if thats only 0,25%. so please stop saying that. but ppl are right when they say it's really more about opinions.

@Vitzartti You have about 15-20 skills for each profession, depending on what weapons you have equipped. Also, once you go into water you get 2 underwater weapons again, depending on profession, and new skills aswell. Where GW shines is the utility skill system. IIRC a dev said there are about 87,000 possible combinations. Those utility skills, combined with the weapon skills can yield some pretty hard hitting stuff... plus, it's fun as hell.

All we know is that we can make choices in our personal story-line, but we don't know if those choices are based on Good-and-Evil type games: like Mass Effect or Dragon Age, or it's gonna be based on games like The Witcher series: where you make choices based on your believes (there is no Good or Evil choice). But I prefer The Witcher type choices, because the Good and Evil choices sounds like your playing a fairy tale :)

@Brandonrobocop That's ok if you prefer Good and Evil choices, but how does it shapes your character more when your limited with only 2 choices ? :) Good&Evil choices are very limited, since you need to choose between good or evil answers or actions, while when you have a free will, like in Witcher games, you shape your character in any direction you wish, which is far more customizable and in-depth.

@Brandonrobocop yeah, because you yourself choose if you wish to murder a key person in the story line or not ( which can affect things around you, for example you kill a Militia Captain who who took money from civilians for protection, this can be considered "Good" for the town folk, but "Evil" for the other Militia members, you have way more choices, decisions and story branches this way ). You decide your own fate, and be Good or Evil in every single choice you make.

wow Diablo 3's Witch Doctor has Locust Swarm also... it's basically the same move but the Necromancer here uses it as an aura and the Witch Doctor's locust swarm swarms to the nearest enemies and kills them off

@rikgerats The Asura's will have a special racial skill that will give them a Battlesuit ( mech suit of some sort ). But, it's been confirmed that any race can have for a limited time a Battlesuit from NPC vendors, which cost Karma ( you get karma from Dynamic events )

@HorseRider5545 That's how the necro works in Guild Wars 1 :) But in Guild Wars 2, you don't need corpses anymore, because it's a larger world and persistent, and you won't find mobs always, so to correct this, and make necros strong as other class, they made so that you can animate corpses from thin air xD

@HaloRuler658 You get 3 armor sets ( Light/Medium/Heavy, and can be used with all 5 races ), 1 weapon from each weapon type, titles and some pets. I think it's worth it, because the armor and weapons will level up with you, so basically, you get free weapon and armor which you can use it to finish the game. If your interested, how the armor and weapons look, then go to the guild wars 2 website, search for the Hall of Monument calculator, open it, and type my name in: Rico Berseker.

@HaloRuler658 You need at least 1 stand alone campaign ( Prophecies/Nightfall or Factions ) and the expansion Eye of the North ( the expansion works only if your account has 1 stand alone campaign, and you need the expansion because only with it can you access the Hall of Monuments ). But I recommend to buy all in 1 bundle ( if you'r going to fill up the HoM ), not that it's cheaper, but also you can fill up the HoM much faster, because you have access to everywhere.

@twerpet114 I wouldn't recommend to play GW1, because it's way different, the combat in GW2 is changed entirely. Play GW1 only if your interested in the lore and of course for the Hall of Monuments ( because, if you fill it up, you get lots of bonus items, weapons, armor for GW2 characters ).

@Blainne1 If you play like 3 hours a day, and if you have 2-3 friends or maybe you get into a helpful guild, you get all 30 points ( you only need 30 points out of 50, to get all bonus items, the remaining 20 points gives only bonus titles, If you wish those titles too... then it's hard to get the last 20 points ) in like 2-3 month. Last week, GW1 had a content update, and now we can take 7 heroes in a party, so the game is really easy now, and you ONLY need to get the cheapest items for HoM.

I know gw2 is supposed to be a little different. Some people have said something about PVP servers starting you at a dif level and pve being separate, kind of confusing but I think the system will be dif in gw2 anyway, ty.

@Blainne1 In GW1, you can move your character freely between different servers and districts, there is no restrictions like in other MMO's. Also, there's is no pvp in PvE content, so this means, that you can only pvp with other players in different type of arena's, GvG ( guild vs guild ) and Alliance Battles ( largest battlefields in GW ). If you create a PvE character, you need to level it up, and so on, but if you create a PvP character, you have acces only to PvP arenas.

In the actual game, it will make enemies lose halth over time, by giving them a condition. this video is showing weak enemies versus an overpowered necro, which is not an actual situation you'll play in the game.
