tonight is opening night for Fiddler on the Roof at the community theatre here where I live. I play Perchik as well and I am having a great time doing it... nicely done

I just got Hodel in this show at my school...and the guy who plays Perchik cannot sing at all and...is incredibly self conscious and non-cooperative.... :P You did it very, very well...much better than he does it.

Actually, we finished the show in March but we both (Perchik and I) got nominated for best actor and actress in a competition, so we're performing again.The reason they nominated him was because Perchik is supposed to be an outsider, and it showed on stage, because no one likes him off stage. They said he really seemed like he didn't feel included in our village...kind of ironic :P But good casting on our director's part :)

okay, so i dont know much about fiddler on the roof, but im auditioning for it soon, and i am officially sad. only the boys sing in this play, i swear. im auditioning for tzeitel and hodel and maybe even chava if they think i look young, and so far they dont have ANY SONGS! disappointment.

That's not true! I'm playing Hodel in our school's production of Fiddler this spring, and Hodel sings a solo! It's called Far from the Home I Love...it's beautiful. And all three older daughters sing Matchmaker together, and they all sing the ensamble numbers. If you want to sing, I would reccommend auditioning for Hodel because she does the most singing out of the the three. Break a leg! :)
