  • LOL

  • so you do fireworks for Hallowe'en? I've never heard of that.

  • @monicavm It is the only time you can buy fireworks here. Only in the last 2 weeks of October. Halloween is a very big event here. Our island also puts on a huge Fireworks display in the main town. People dress up and gather in Ganges. The firehall gives free hot chocolate and hotdogs to everyone. It is a blast.

  • @BananaJSSI here in the U.K on the 5th of november we do guy focks night where the whole of the U.K sets of fireworks

  • @McAdamExotics Interesting! I guess that would similar to Halloween we celebrate here.

  • @BananaJSSI we celebrate halloween to its really big here aswell

  • @McAdamExotics Right on!!

  • My guess is that Wallace doesn't like the "sound" of fireworks!

    Wow, so many for sale!

  • @bluesforU2 He would hate the noise. I'll keep him indoors.

  • We always used to love fireworks time, but sadly many spoilt this good funtime for everyone!

  • @annemaree It is true. Many places on our south coast have stopped selling them because of people who misuse them.

  • When my finances look better I'll join the celebration!

    Before that, a Salt Spring Island hike would do just as well;

coming by public ferry is pretty reasonably priced from what I know.

  • @V9ty9 Walk onis cheapest. A car with a family of four coming from the mainland may cost over $150 or so

  • No smoking please LOL. What is fireworks worth I haven't bought any in years.

  • @Graveltrucker The big ones cost a few bucks for sure. I but 12 packs of sky rockets for $3.99 and Air Bombs are approx. $1.49 each. I usually buy a $100 bucks worth every year.

  • @BananaJSSI The prices are not too bad, buy a 100 dollars worth of fireworks another 100 worth of candy to hand out your all ready to go.

  • @Graveltrucker We live so fa out in the boonies that there are no trick or treaters on this far north end of the island. Same when I lived in Langley, we were so far out in the boonies we never saw a trick or treater in the 17 years I lived there, lol

  • @Graveltrucker There is no kids left in the neighbourhood where I live aswell no point in buying any candy if I do I end up eating it I don't need to get any fatter lol.

  • @Graveltrucker That's the problem, if I did buy candy I would eat it, lol
