@mattmcnerlin Whilst I'm a fan of the original, I also like this version. You could pull the same POV on any Bob Dylan, John Lennon, Billy Bragg, U2, etc song. Just because the original was about a particular event, does not man it can't be covered. And considering the Americans use the 1812 overture for their 'Independence Day' song when it was written for the Russians shows they don't care about that kind of thing. (I'm British btw).

How the fuck did the comments become an argument over how much America does or does not suck? Anyway, this is a great cover of a great song! It paid respect to the original, while adding an interesting spin to it with the way it was handeled. Plus, the dude's voice had a good amount of emotion to it, a little more raw then the original but still just as good!
