none of these challenges were scary. They were difficult, but were not scary. Compared to the first episode, the challenges were a breeze.

Thats what i thought at first, too. But then I thought about the woman who couldn't move in the goo. I realized that each challenge focuses on a specific phobia. What may not seem scary to you (helplessness, claustraphobia) may be scary as hell for other people.
