Calling on other than Allah such as the Prophets or saints, the dead or alive but absent. Allah the Exalted says:

"And invoke not besides Allâh, any that will neither profit you, nor hurt you, but if (in case) you did so, you shall certainly be one of the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers)." [10:106]

Dear brother Bigcee22, it is sinful and a trait of the Khawârij to apply Âyât descended upon the unbelievers and apply them to the believers. Imâm al-Bukhârî has a Bâb: Ibn `Umar considered them (the Khawârij) to be the worst creation of Allâh and would say: They apply those Verses which were revealed upon the disbelievers and apply them onto the believers. (al-Bukhârî, Sahîh, 2/1024)

Take half a dozen books of tafsîr and youll see that the word tad`u rendered by you into English as invoke actually means worship and not merely calling. While min dûnillâh which (rendered as besides Allâh) specifically refers to idols. So there is a great difference between merely calling of the Prophet (s) such as when giving salâms and someone worshipping idols. One cannot misapply this Âyah to such a situation.

I participated in this spirtual gathering, the moment Proffesor sahib stood up while calling Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was very emotional, everybody was reciting darood on Huzoor (SAW) people were in wajd. I will never forget that moment. May Allah give proffesor sahib long and healthy life. Ameen.

Hazrat Jibrail [Alayh Salam] once came to Prophet(S.A.W) and said Allah has given me the knowledge to count every leaf on earth, every fish in the sea, every star in the sky and every particle of sand on earth, but there's only 1 thing I cant count. Prophet(S.A.W) asked Jibrail(A.S) what is it? Jibrail(A.S) replied, "When one of your Ummah recites Durood or salaams to You (S.A.W), the blessings Allah showers upon him becomes impossible for me to count." SubhanAllah

@WANTHEAVENLOVEISLAM Can any body ask from Dr. Tahir that is not enough the Hazrat Mohammad (S.A.W) had complete the Islam with Ishaba Ikram (R.A.U). And if any Muslim see Hazoor (S.A.W) and he become Sahab. So now in these days most of the Muslim see (Naozaballah) in their dreams. So that can we say them Sahabi??????????

Please give correct answer. May Allah give Hidayat to Dr. Tahir and he guide all the Muslim correct path.
