  • I have a question, someone who is competent in this & knows the answer, please tell me..

Do women have to go with water through the hair as men do? And if so, then through the whole length or maybe only next to the roots?

I have tried to find the answer, but there is no place where it would be mentioned (i mean specifically about women)

I think i might be doing something wrong.

    :(

  • @sandrabell0109 Men go through part of the hair not the whole length. Women have to go through part of it too. Please check the video and see how it is done. Thank you.

  • brother you shown just fard in wudu,

    wheres the sunnah for wudu,

and if your feet are dirty, then you have to wash, you can wipe if they are clean,

  • @123footballers Brother, if the feet are dirty, they must be washed before wudhu then dried up then wipe them. check Surah Al-Ma'ida (Surah #5, verse 6) "O you who believe! when you rise up to prayer, wash your faces and your hands as far as the elbows, and wipe your heads and your feet to the ankles...." It says wipe your heads and your feet to the ankles.

Yes, the video shows just the fard (wajib, obligatory) part without any sunnah (mustahab, recommended).

  • salam.. i wud like to say that the feet must be washed in wuddo

  • @MuslimStar11 Salam Alaikum, no it should be wiped, not washed. check Surah Al-Ma'ida (Surah #5, verse 6) "O you who believe! when you rise up to prayer, wash your faces and your hands as far as the elbows, and wipe your heads and your feet to the ankles...." It says wipe your heads and your feet to the ankles.

  • @almujtaba

“O you who believe! When you intend to offer As-Salaah (the prayer), wash your faces and your hands (forearms) up to the elbows, rub (by passing wet hands over) your heads, and (wash) your feet up to the ankles”[al-Maa’idah 5:6]

This does not indicate that it is permissible to wipe the feet. The reason for this is that there are two readings of this verse.

  • @MuslimStar11 1 – Wa arjulakum (and your feet), with a fathah on the laam. In this case the word “feet” is mentioned in conjunction with the word wajh (face), and the face is to be washed, so the feet are to be washed too. So it is as if the verse is basically saying: ...

  • @MuslimStar11 “Wash your faces, your arms up to the elbows and your feet up to the ankles, and wipe your heads,” but mention of washing the feet is put after mention of wiping the head so as to indicate that this is the order in which the parts of the body are washed in wudoo’: washing the face, then the arms, then wiping the head, then washing the feet.

  • @MuslimStar11 2 – Wa arjulikum, with a kasrah on the laam. In this case it is mentioned in conjunction with the word ra’s (head), and the head is to be wiped, so the feet are to be wiped too.

But the Sunnah shows that one may wipe over the feet only when wearing leather slippers or socks, subject to the conditions that are well known in the Sunnah.

    See al-Majmoo’, 1/450; al-Ikhtiyaaraat, p. 13

  • @MuslimStar11 Thus it is clear that in neither reading does the verse indicate that the feet may be wiped. Rather it indicates that it is obligatory to wash the feet, or to wipe over the socks if one is wearing socks.

  • @MuslimStar11 Some of the scholars, based on the second reading, are of the view that the reason why wiping is mentioned with regard to the feet although they are to be washed is to indicate that one should be economical in using water when washing the feet, because people are usually lavish with water when washing them. So the verse enjoins wiping in the sense of washing them without being extravagant in the use of water.

  • @MuslimStar11 Ibn Taymiyah said:

Mentioning wiping with regard to the feet is an indication that one should not use too much water on the feet, because people are usually extravagant in using water for that. End quote.

    Manhaaj al-Sunnah, 4/174

  • @MuslimStar11 If you read the Arabic, you will see "wamsahoo" not "waghsiloo" the translation is obviously wrong....It is crystal clear in the Holy Quran that it mentions wamsahoo and nouns and returned to the closest verbs. I ate rice and chicken and drank orange juice and apple juice. You cannot say I ate apple juice because it goes back to the verb ate!!!! It is clear so why not accept the Truth!.

  • @almujtaba Ibn Taymiyyah is a Wahabbi scholar and this is his view, not the prophet's view. According to Musnad Ahmad and Sunan Ibn Majah, which are two Sunni books, It states the the prophet used to wipe not wash his feet. Obivously I stated Sunni sources because I realized that you follow the Sunni faith. Shia books are filled with sources that shows the holy prophet used to wipe his feet and not wash.

  • @almujtaba Check in Musnad Ahmad: Musnad Al-Ashra AlMubashareen Bil Janna, Musnad Uthman ibn Affan, Hadith 456 and in Musnad Ahmad again: Musnad Ali ibn Abi Talib, Hadith 699 and 873. And check Sunan ibn Majah, Attahara wa Sunaniha, Ma Ja'a fee Al-Wudhu Ala Ma Amarallah Ta3ala, Hadith # 453. You will see that wiping the feet is what the prophet used to do. So According to Shias and Sunnis, the feet has to be wiped in the wudhu

  • @almujtaba if you say that ibn taymiyyah is a wahhabi then provide proof please, i cannot simply believe anything, as it could be a simple slander of someone else. AS far as i know he was a great scholar, which i found on a Trusted sunnii website

  • @MuslimStar11 Al-Haafiz Ibn Hajar said:

There are mutawaatir reports from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) which describe his wudoo’ and state that he washed his feet. He is the one who explained the commands of Allaah.

  • @MuslimStar11 There is no report from anyone among the Sahaabah which differs from that, except from ‘Ali, Ibn ‘Abbaas and Anas, but it was narrated that they retracted that. ‘Abd al-Rahmaan ibn Abi Layla said: The companions of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) are unanimously agreed that the feet should be washed. Narrated by Sa’eed ibn Mansoor. End quote.

  • @MuslimStar11 Bbrother i gotta say thankyou for your time on trying to show that you should wipe your feet during wudoo, althought i believe that which has been sed to me by sunni scholars, as they are learned in the quran and sunnah. and i am not.- and the evidence is clear to me, u can choose whichever you wish as it is your wudoo.

    thankyou again

  • @MuslimStar11 Again sister, thanks for discussing but it seems that there is a contradiction in the Sihah books because some books say this and others say another thing. Since Sahabaah differ on things as clear and Wudhu and Salat... We should start searching for a stronger source than Sahabah.

  • @almujtaba and go back to what the holy prophet said " Inni Tarikun Feekum Al-Thaqalayn, Kitab Allah Wa Itratee Ahl Bayti", The translation "I am leaving behind me two weighty things, the book of Allah and my progeny, the Ahlulbayt" The Book of Allah and the Ahlulbayt are the two sources that never contradict each other and this is the pure source of knowledge of Islam.

  • @MuslimStar11 Again it is not just Ali, Ibn Abbas, and Anas...If you read the sources that I mentioned, you will find much more than those three.

  • @MuslimStar11 Again, this information is available on millions of websites, just type Ibn Taymiyyah wahabbi? on google and you will find millions, again from Sunni websites and neutral websites, not only shia, Shia websites have many more too.
