  • @ArtLabedzki Use* thin yarn

  • @ArtLabedzki Ok I'll try not to clunkify it and I'll your thin yarn :)

  • Would this work if i used something i knitted? Instead of the ribbon and fabric?

  • @koolqueen16 hmmmm, that's a good question..I think it might work if the knitted object isn't too thick? if the wool is too thick it might look clunky...

  • does anyone else think that the lady sounds alot like Meryl streep? pretty cool LOL

  • @Angelhimelovelace3 I am so surprised, a few people have mentioned that on one of my other rose making tuts...

  • when you use fabric instead of ribbon, do you do anything to the raw edge to keep it from fraying?

  • @lyssaneko you can buy "fray away" glue from a craft store..if you want a grunge appeal then you can leave the frayed edges, but if it is a beautiful pristine project then "fray away" glue is great..I think it is by "Arleene's"

  • por favor como se hacen los rufles que son de tela, no hechos con cintas

  • Kinda neat... If you could sew these basically the same way... but with a stretch thread of some kind, you could make scrunchies!

  • THOSE ARE NOT ROSES!........they are soooooooo extra cute flowers i like this!

  • Oh i always did this with broderie but i didn't know it was called like this!

  • This is great! Who would have thought that the difference between two totally different looking flowers would be how big the stitch was. I wondered about that, thanks :)

  • @tjandkd05 I know, such little secrets can make a big difference..life is stange

  • She could have done without the cat pee comment....dang, why would mention that? I'm sure her cat pee's on everything in the house....gawd.

  • @gailg1957 I mentioned it because my cats made me mad when they peed on something that I hand made and took me forever

  • @PeacePlease05 oh wow, what a wonderful idea!!! just keep the cats off is all I have to say!

  • the red and white one with the blue bead, was that just how the ribbon came? with those two colors? Or is there a way to add another colored ribbon? Thanks!

  • @erinlsu1 that was how the ribbon came, I think I bought it in nyc!

  • beautiful work we like your work:)

  • what a awesome ider you got here

  • I really enjoy your how to make a rose tutorial!! thanks for sharing :)!! .....i think your cat was trying to tell you (this is my favorite flower :) ....

  • @goldyred95 hmmmmm you could be right about the cats and their favorites!!!

  • Do you have any ideas how to layer multiple ribbon flowers like these to make one, large flower? For example, could you cut the ribbon longer when beginning to make a larger diameter flower and attach it to a smaller one for a daisy-like effect? Thanks!!

  • @bkixdance Your idea sounds great! My advice would be to experiment. I am a painter and sometimes the best paintings happen when I just let go and have fun..experiment and be creative! Forget about rules...I like your idea a lot!!!

  • haha cute idea!! imma try this looks like those expensive art deco necklaces :)

  • never know it would be that easy... thanks a lot ! :D

  • @naya2in thanks for watching!

  • 1 yr ago..ha ha didnt even notice that my bad...

  • @ariasmelissa909 and I am actually very shy and it was hard for me to blab so much...anyway, I made another video where I make the rose and do a little blabbing while folding and rolling ribbon

  • you kinda talk alot but still good video thanks for the help..

  • @ariasmelissa909 yeah, I realize that now two years after I made this video...

  • I think that is a cool idea! Maybe you could try sewing five or six of them (assorted colors, flatness, and size) together to create a huge one. That'd be sooo cute!

  • @TweenMakeupTricks wow, that is a great idea! why didn't I think of that????

  • What is this cat who is complaining?

    That worries me a lot

  • @blomstGore my cats love to howl! don't worry!

  • estan bn lindas

  • I finally found a needle, made the rose and glued it to a barrette. I love it!!!

  • @OUGT12 that is wonderful..they work well as Christmas ornaments as well, you just need to attach a loop!

  • Great ribbon tutorials. I love them.

  • @OUGT12 thank you, me and the cats appreciate your comment!

  • The cat was a funny touch...Now how do you stitch them together? Any hints there?

    cheers

    dave m

  • @calbear1313 well let's say you made four, if you place them on a flat surface you will see that there is a small area where the roses touch each other, this is the area where you can carefully overlap them by a small fraction and with a running stitch sew them together..does this make sense? hope it helps.

  • Wow... That is really pretty!

  • Please post some video of your angry cats!!!! How many do you have anyway???

  • @sadiesmommi Thanks so much for watching! I have three cats that I love and that drive me crazy..there is a video with my white cat called Mickey...

  • The cat growling scared the CRAP out of me and then made me laugh. LOLOLOL

  • Beautiful I subscribed, yet what do I do with them?, hang them in my home?.

  • @MuslimahUnity I made some and added a small ribbon loop and then used them as Christmas ornaments for the tree!

  • These r gorg!! cAnt wait to try them!

  • thanks for this video

  • i made one the other day but my flower is folding in from the edges and it looks like a jelly fish...haha...can you tell me what i'm going wrong? i'm guessing that my ribbon width is too small and maybe i'm using too much ribbon? i look forward to hearing you advice...thanks

  • @Jorgeyliz1 I just came back from the dentist so my answer might be groggy..try 12 RW of ribbon..rw is the ribbon width, so if your RW is 1 in, then you need 12 inches of ribbon. You can experiment with the size of your running stitch, long running stitches creates a large ruffled centre and small running stitches creates a tight cleaner centre..you have to experiment a bit..good luck

  • My cat got jelous of the time I was spending on my crafts and did the same exact thing right in front of me. She jumped my box of scrap fabrics and peed!!! and then when I was laying in bed sewing on a project she grabbed it with her teeth and ran with it and tried to pee on it.

  • @youman6 wow, our pets are jealous and evil!

  • that is so pretty. i think i'll try it. thanks. =)

  • @MsFuzzy75 thank you sew much!!!

  • this looks like so much fun

  • @TheAFwifey thank you!

  • thank You so much that was V helpful ^_^

  • @rintinks yes you can use fabric cut into strips, it is super easy just sew a running stitch on one side of the ribbon and then pull the thread to gather the ribbon and secure with one stitch. Then sew the ribbons together to create a runner or small table cloth

  • i have been wanting to make a yoyo throw for ages but always give up when i think of the time it would take these look like a yoyo kinda cool way to get the same effect i will do this in some pretty pastels and sheers wow!! thanks!!!! instead of sewing it myself all the way around i will just order some pull bow thanks great idea though :)
