Thing is, what I heard, David wanted to buy the melody for One from Swedish House Mafia, since he knew that it was gonna be a huuuuuuge track. They knew it also, so they refused. So he tried to copy it and release it before One, so that his track would be famous instead, which failed.

Well, David Guetta does play SHM's track in many of his sets, since it came out, so I don't think there's anything shady really going on. He just intentionally made a similar track.

If you look at David Guetta's "Fuck Me I'm Famous!: Ibiza Mix 2010", the song is Track 10 and titled "50 (One) Degrees" and credited to David Guetta & Swedish House Mafia. I'm not sure if he's succumbing to the controversy or what. He's also gone on record saying that Swedish House Mafia are one of his favourite new DJ teams out there today.

@KyleMacPhamous But if you look at the uncensored video of "One (Your Name)" you'll find that the person who first knocks down the DJ and later on steals the synth from her has a "F***k Me I'm Famous" tatoo if that's not a wink at David Guetta stealing the song from them I don't know what that is.

Sampling has been around for years and yes some are a blatant sample just like the above, just look at the song "Like a G6" and compare it to the song "Booty Bounce" by Dev @ 1:48 seconds in you have the main part of Like a G6.. everyone knows the "Like a G6" part but Far East Movement are claiming the fame from it not Dev...

@drgosaiden I agree, but he has two beats that are different in the rhythm. It's like what Vanilla Ice did with "Ice Ice Baby" to Queen's "Under Pressure" beat. :\ He added an extra beat or two and made his own song with it. Gay for sure, but their hands are tied.
