The Mayans made inscriptions that "scheduled" the accession of future Mayan kings thousands of years into the future. The Mayan Calendar is more like a a bicycle: cycles (pedals) moving in tandem with a linear movement (The Long Count). It's both cyclical and linear.

The Mayan Calendar doesn't say the world ends in 2012. It's a complete misinterpretation. The Mayans had a period of time which they called a Long Count, which lasts 5125 years. THAT'S what's coming to an end on December 21st 2012. But then a new Long Count begins on December 22nd 2012. So it's just their calendar resetting, just like our own calendar finishes on December 31st and the calendar for the next year begins on January 1st.
We're not sure if 2012 is true, but one thing I know is that the signs of doomsday are written in the bible and that signs are happening now. Examples are hurricanes, tsunami, earthquakes, wars, and etc.. Based on the bible if these signs are happening, our Lord Jesus Christ is coming soon. So Let's start a new life and repent our sins, so if our Lord Jesus Christ comes we are ready to meet Him. =)

Here's a theory.... We all know the Mayans disappeared and the debate over why has been going on for decades.... How bout this? The reason the calendar ends on that precise date, is because that's when they Mayans disappeared.. Maybe they just didn't have time to finish it.....????? It was also used to predict certain events, constallations, and agriculture changes too. It's not a fact because we weren't there, but I believe that this is right. Thing is that the 2012 is bigger than the calander. At the end of that calander the planets align and magnetic field will weaken. I could sit down and explain it all, but remember it's not right or wrong.

The Mayans made inscriptions that "scheduled" the accession of future Mayan kings thousands of years into the future. The Mayan Calendar is more like a a bicycle: cycles (pedals) moving in tandem with a linear movement (The Long Count). It's both cyclical and linear.

The Mayan Calendar doesn't say the world ends in 2012. It's a complete misinterpretation. The Mayans had a period of time which they called a Long Count, which lasts 5125 years. THAT'S what's coming to an end on December 21st 2012. But then a new Long Count begins on December 22nd 2012. So it's just their calendar resetting, just like our own calendar finishes on December 31st and the calendar for the next year begins on January 1st.

We're not sure if 2012 is true, but one thing I know is that the signs of doomsday are written in the bible and that signs are happening now. Examples are hurricanes, tsunami, earthquakes, wars, and etc.. Based on the bible if these signs are happening, our Lord Jesus Christ is coming soon. So Let's start a new life and repent our sins, so if our Lord Jesus Christ comes we are ready to meet Him. =)

We will enter the new age on oct 28 2011, im not too sure on their predictions of the world ending on this date? I heard somewhere that this is where we will enter the universal conscience stage (we are now in the galactic ) But basically, our development will be ALOT faster. The changes that took billions of years to occur at the beginning of everything will happen every 20 days. Look into it it. I saw a really interesting dvd by UFOtv called the lost secrets of the maya.
