It absolutely catches the zeitgeist of that time. Of course it can not be written, when everything will have become better. It's the disillusionment that comes AFTER. What remains is the feeling at that time captured in the song. I love it and Ani! Come back to Frankfurt again soon !!

Im sorry but we need to wait and see if he delivers on what he says before we go around writing worship songs. I remain distrustful of any public official until they give me a reason not to. I love ani and i love her dedication to social justice but i think if this song was going to be written it should have been in a year's time.

Well... he gives hope not only to americans and with that hope we all have a chance to acomplish. Maybe this song even adds up to that hope and if so, great! I think that hope is what we all need the most in these times of dispair. Peace!

Yeah, well I don't want hope or empty promises I want action andI'm becoming tired... He says he's going to end the Iraq war but wont get rid of blackwater (xe) and then he bombs pakistan and proposes to add troops to afghanistan its sad.
