If you overclock the CPU with changing BCLK then yes, pretty much everything runs with higher frequencies.

I really do not know what is wrong with your PC...framerates are way too low...I have E8500 @ 4Ghz, 4GB DDR2 1066Mhz, GTX275 and 1680x1050 maxed out is like 30-40fps for me...

If you have a nVidia graphics card you have PhysX enabled and it increases the performance in this game.

ATi can support Havok Physics but nVidia is paying game makers to make games with only PhysX support.

Also this game is very bad optimised, it's using only one CPU core for physics when there is no PhysX capable GPU.

I think the game does. When it was released there was problems even with the newest drivers. I got good performance maxed out and then 10 mins in my fps would drop to like 8 and wouldn't go back up. I haven't touched the game since =/

Another Good Video. I agree though; the graphics are not that good. Can't make use of sli or crossfire and can only use one cpu core/thread. But still so demanding.

Graphics are pretty nice, but yes, the game doesn't support crossfire (4870 X2 = single 4870 in this game) and it's can use only one CPU thread/core.
