Before you start spouting off the term "Profession" you should go look up the definition. Most MLM's offer a useless product that do not benefit anyone. Doctors, Pharmacists, Lawyers are professions. Mechanics, Plumbers, Electricians are trades. MLM is neither, it is a JOKE!

If you have to just blame yourself, why work for someone to get that shortcoming? People are "bosses" for a reason, they take responsibility for their actions. If someone's above you in network marketing, they must take responsibility for some failures. Otherwise it's not a proper or sound business protocol.

Todd, Network Marketing aka MLM is flawed. Or at least your example of word of mouth advertising is flawed when compared to MLM. Word of Mouth marketing is the result of GOOD or BAD service/product. It is not motivated by GREED. MLM, otoh, is motivated by GREED not by how good the product or service is.
