Wow, this is a lot better than the more famous version because the drums sound real, not vomiting reverb like the drums in the music video version. I also like the bass, you can really hear it in this version. Oh and the solo was nice.
@Sixshotreviews2 That version is more uptempo, this is more like a ballad. And if you ever go and see them live, this is the version they always play.Love the bridge in the middle of the song just before the solo. The Out Of The Cellar version doesn't have it which to me is the difference.
Ratt are so underrated, it's not fair. With other bands, it's merely a case of being overlooked but a lot of people tend to ignore Ratt's significance in the artistic and commercial development of heavy metal.
juan really wanted his bass to be heard!i found a copy of the first e.p. with a black and white pic on the back.i wonder why they eventually changed it?
Great song, this version is better than 'out of the cellar', they should have just left it alone, however it was probably some suit that said record it again, any, Awsome song. the 80's were Killer
Remembering buying the vinyl. It's definitely a demo but has real potential. This sounds so good. The acoustic guitars, the defined bass lines, etc! It's really cool!
I prefer the out of the cellar version tho- either way beautiful intro!

@dimebagdave77, to gain more commercial success. The same thing happened when Elektra re-released Too Fast for Love.

the one off the album has a much more "ballsier" sound to me

I prefer the transition from acoustic to electric on the album version. It has more of a metal vibe.
On vinyl, this has a strong sludge metal sound (the original '83 release not the polished '85 re-release).
However, I miss the breakdown this version has.
