Hey man.Just wondering i got a tether ball not a ball like you have but i was just wanted to know can you used a tether ball with a long thick wood pole?
@InvaderCrissy A real tetherball is heavier than the ball I used. It should work as long as you place the wood pole deep into the ground - I'm taking about a foot in. An oak or pine 2x4 should be thick enough to take the punishment without breaking.
@Dragonoid67 Its all good - buy one if you can find it at a good price. This is for people who like to make things themselves. This design costs like $4 to make and will last. It is also easy to take down and put up - verses a metal pole
Just buy one at academy for 20.00$ Carbon steel pole tetherball with string and hook this is low quality I'm no hater good idea but I wanted normal tetherball
Hi. I really like the concept especially for younger players. But i will make one with a metal poll and a real tetherball. Neverless, your idea has helped me with the general procedures. Thanks
I made this and it was really fun, the only problem is that I'm an aggressive tetherball player and got a face full of splinters, not a problem though because I'm proud of my tetherball battle scars.
I agree - I put it in the ground quickly for the sake of finishing the video. That is why I mentioned to dig a deep hole and fortify with rocks. Thanks for the insight. Cheers
What is it?

Nifty idea. The pole seems kinda shaky, mate, might want to secure it down a bit more. Cheers. :)

you may want to of suggested sanding out the edges of the wood so that the string wouldn't get caught at the top to allow fair play.
