Ironically, it was bands like Slapshot, the FUs and the Boston hardcore bands that were more "like jocks" than the New York bands, most of whom weren't about hate and stuff. Slapshot even had nationalist crap under the name "Stars & Stripes." New York hardcore bands like Born Against, Sick of it All, Reagan Youth, Judge, and of course Bold, Side by Side, and these guys had a much better message & much better music. Fuck Boston.

Relevant? Its relevant to anyone who likes it. If you don't like it, its not relevant to you, just as your opinion is not relevant to me. If you don't like a band, it quite irrational to tell them to go to another country. Here is an idea, don't listen to them or go to thier show/s. Thats a much more economical solution than having anyone/thing you don't like fleeing the country of current of your location. Its odd, I don't like american football, but I do like YOT, so strange.

This is exactly the reason old school bands shouldn't get together at shows consisting of people 21 and under. You can't even hear them play, just a bunch of kids screaming the lyrics. You're not in your room man, have some respect. I know it's cool to go nuts at a punk show, but that's lame, when did everybody become lead vocalist? @chillycheesefries You must not know what hc is about, It started as a brother/sisterhood. The lyrics are about and for everyone, thats why bands have sing along parts during their shows. Bands like y.o.t. and gorilla biscuits s.s.d. and all those old school se bands were scene kids that formed bands. Those lyrics mean something to scenesters because it's their life.

there is a very interesting story behind this song and how it was recorded. when Ray layed down the vocal track, he went nuts. screaming jumping off the walls he knew it was the end. "envy and greed" "our sad situation" . like minor threat, once it became something its not. they quit before it ruined their legacy. i admire that fact. my postive youth hardcore days will stay in my heart forever.
