My gramps gave me a 1987 eagle, my birth year. Best gift ever. And it's really cool having an eagle without the frosty finish the newer ones have. I never even understood that it was an ounce of silver and that 1 ounce increments is how silver price is tracked.

i just figured it was a pretty corn to show off that was worth a dollar.

87 was a high mintage year if I remember correctly.
