Power to weight has a great deal to do with it. its built from the same platform as the lotus elise, which was a sports built for track fun, and the opel/vauxhall is faster. and the fact that it has a higher power to weight ratio means it will be quicker, not necessarily faster top speed though. the only way i could think of that would mean itd be slower is if its tires were to get no grip what so ever.
Why don't you get anywhere near the S2000 then? Or is it that you like to drive at a leisurely pace taking in the scenery and the rears of superior cars.
I commented as I have actually driven all 3 and the S2000 is the faster. I have also commented on a Video of an Opel Speedster beating a Porsche 911 over a 1/4 mile. Just ridiculous! Porsche Driver must have been checking his emails or have left the handbrake on. Power to weight! - Not all about Power to weight you know - ask Prodrive!
did u jus say that an s2000 (stock) is faster than both vx220 and 350z (stock)? thats just rediculous now iv driven a 350z and a s2000 unfortunatly not the vx but jus from those 2 cars a 350z is faster i like the s2000 but stop makin silly comments and as for the vx 0-60 in 4.8 secs and on to 100 in 12.2 secs over the s2000 0-60 in 6 lets say and on to 100 in 14.4 my fiat coupe stock was faster than an s2000!
well actually no, the opel/vauxhall turbo is quicker than the most basic 911, at the time, but top speed the porsche would kill it. only because the turbo as a much higher power to weight ratio. plus s2000's stock, arent faster than either of those cars, maybe faster than a 350z around a track with lots of turns, but not the turbo, thats faster than both of them.

My S2K would piss all over a VX220 Turbo or NissanZ
dodgydan 3 years ago
Afraid not. Power to weight of a VX220 Turbo (stock) is superior to S2000 (stock).
