  • Bernard plays guitar like I mash potatoes.

  • pure art

  • Come back NO, we need you!

  • To mojorisingyou....careful there bud, though New Order is still one of my favorite bands, without Joy Division they may never have come to pass.

  • Hey Bernard if by some crazy chance you're reading this please throw a concert in Dallas, TX. New Order is my favorite band in the universe. Screw U2 and Coldplay I have seen them both in concert. They are nothing compared to you. You touch my soul man. Where ever you are I wish you happiness.

  • Best band ever

  • bernard is looking at a teleprompter!!!!! Dang!

  • @1970morgy Orchestras look at sheet music. Still a brilliant performance ;)

  • What a cool song.. I hear this song for the first time.. I love it so much... Thanks for uploading. Kisses from Holland...

  • You'd have to be damned good to outdo New Order by way of imitation, and here we have that Real Thing.

  • Pure love for this band.

  • 3 people are tone def

  • Ahh yes I remember this was the one that got me into New Order, I sang along to every word and they all looked at me as if I was mad. A great day and the last time I saw them play live.

  • I prefer Bernard's singing to Ian Curtis. I don't think New Order would have prospered with Curtis as a vocalist. The guy could barely carry a tune let alone JD's music would have died if they didn't pick up on the dance craze. Curtis was a one note hack whose been given the Morrison treatment, undeservedly.

  • Bernard may not have the best of voices but I couldn't imagine New Order with another vocalist!

  • Ian was Ian and Bernard is Bernard. His voice is perfect for what they write. I can't imagine a world without a New Order out there somewhere. This track is pure class.

  • I find it infuriating when people criticise Bernard's singing, cut him some slack for fuck's sake. He didn't choose to be the singer, he was the bloody guitarrist and Ian popped himself. He could have just slunk away to bemoan what had happened, but he didn't, he tried to put the pieces together and make the most of what there was. Can you imagine the pressure he was under, he knew he couldn't sing and that he would for ever be compared with Ian but he did it anyway, that took balls.

  • just come to Cyprus and perform at least once!

  • Heaven !!

  • Not the same without Gillian... :(

  • dislike? who disliked? go and boil your head - magnificent song

  • wow... never seen new order act like a little bitch before!

  • i am in love with young bernard sumner....

  • Simply the best of England pop groups

  • A haunting intro leading to a great song.............gets the old goosepimples going. What were you doing / who were you with the first time you heard this song?Brings memories back for me.

  • yo!

  • Pure class :)

  • ..."Where's Hooky?!"....

  • @riverplate0101 where's waldo

  • check out THE LIDS

  • I just listen to it again.....and again and again and again and again, and it never stops just getting better

  • sad that Bernard has to read his own lyrics from a prompter... :-(

  • goosebumps time.

  • I saw them play at Move Festival at Old Trafford ground, Lancashire Cricket Club. The whole night was amazing but this one stood out. It just has all the classic new order special ingredients - melodica, great hooky bass lane, cheeky lyrics and a guitar hook to die for.

  • I actually saw them as Joy Division supporting the Buzzcocks. As usual with support acts no one took much notice and they played to a room of about 15 people.

  • Cold goose bumbs too.

  • I love how Peter Hook plays the bass down so low at his ankles....the guy is seriously underrated.

  • I love the way that it is completely pointless, but he has done it for like 30 years. Even on the Mrs Merton Show. Style. Class. Cool. Top one. Nice one. Get sorted.

  • LOL at you

  • haha

    check out hooky at

    3:44

  • Genius.

  • SIMPLY HEAVENLY!!! Like most of their songs from the albums "Movement" , "Power , corruption and Lies" , "Low Life" , "Technique " and the others as well like Substance. The greatest band ever along with Joy Division!

  • And Brotherhood my friend.

  • I saw them at Old Trafford cricket ground around the same time and this was the best track I loved it.

  • A big moment....

Vive New Order !

  • this reminds me of being gutted at 15 and listening to this after my girlfriend dumped me...she phoned me later to see how i was and all i could think of to say was why don't you piss off....felt great after that

  • This song and All Day Long gives me a special feeling unlike other songs does. Just like I'm walking in the sky, guided by the movement of the song.

  • That's the spirit ! I can see you understand!

  • Compares with Atmosphere for me. Like that, this is a song of great beauty and soul. Like a fine wine, live this band improved with age. This is just not the same band I can remember from the early-mid 80s shows I attended. Not sure their recording strength was maintained. Some good stuff written in later years, but nothing matche their 80s songs. Not sure why the teleprompter is an issue. Why care? This is still great art. And don't orchestral players have music sheets in front of them?

  • i agree - they were at their peak in the 80's - i was lucky to see them 5 times as they toured in n. america and always came to san francisco...not a big fan of some of their later stuff - and barney's new group Bad Lieutenant is running at the back of the crowd for me...

  • great song. sounds from heaven

  • Just the best band ever, never stop loving the line " You caught me at a bad time, so why dont you just piss off "

  • The teleprompter use was a tad obvious hehe

  • One of my favourite tracks from one of my favourite bands. I was lucky enough to see them a couple of times back in the early 80s but sadly never got to see them after. Wish I had.

  • Only two words apply...ABSOLUTELY PERFECT !!!!!

  • Bernard and Peter Hook ... classic.

  • nostalgic !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • he needs a teleprompter (@1:17) for THIS SONG!!! blimey!

  • Trust me , a a lot of singers use em

  • Bernard and his buddies are what good music is all about....he is a God.

  • Love the melodica solo Bernard does...."YO"

  • The Hymn of NO
