What was lacking? Editing. Like all other HP movies, the editing was atrocious. Alright, you definitely need to read the book. The movie was sorta accurate. They did leave out plenty of memories, a few which were actually pretty important to the entire story. What you also would know if you read the book is that Voldemort wasn't really seen(Other than in memories as Tom Riddle), Im not going to tell the reason why because it is somewhat of a spoiler to the plot of the 7th book. Just read the book, it'll clear a lot of things up...but then again, do you even read comments?

IMO, Goblet of Fire was crap, Order of the Phoenix was tied with the first movie as being the best. This movie, i hate to say as a die hard potter fan, actually bored me at several parts. Voldemort's memories, not the teenage romance, should've been the focus. I will say that the last 30 minutes of this movie KICKED TOTAL ASS however

Alright, you definitely need to read the book. The movie was sorta accurate. They did leave out plenty of memories, a few which were actually pretty important to the entire story. What you also would know if you read the book is that Voldemort wasn't really seen(Other than in memories as Tom Riddle), Im not going to tell the reason why because it is somewhat of a spoiler to the plot of the 7th book. Just read the book, it'll clear a lot of things up...but then again, do you even read comments?

The main disappointment in this was the lack of the big battle at the end. It kind of felt like the movie was building up...to nothing.

ook buddy...if you read the book you would have hated the movie! therefore you should have read the book before doing a review on the movie...i understand they had to cut out a lot of parts for the sake of time but that doesnt mean add like 50 scenes that wernt even in the book!!! and they changed little things that they could have just done the right way, and in the same amount of time. mmk ive made my point

i think over all the movie was good. But i also think that thier could have been a few things added to it to make it better, and a bit longer. As with all book to movie's my only advice is to read the book first.

from what i understand about half-blood prince, the main theme would be the origin of how voldemorrt came to be. but we get like two flashbacks of him, not providing enough details. i never understood how this movie was awesome by others, to me it was just okay
