decent defending tbh, didnt get past him, how many times do we see messi do tricks, not comparing the two but messi really simplifies the art of beating a defender, ronaldinho was in a league of his own tho in these skills
Nobody can move like this guy, he is so rare, how many times have you heard that a player is gonna be like Dhino? Nobody really as his style is simply AWESOME!
Messi will be the world player of the world in 2009, followed by Iniesta.
But everyone has got to admit, that Ronaldinho was a way better #10 than Messi is right now, even if they say Messi is younger than Ronaldinho at his prime.
It has nothing to do with age, but with style. And Ronaldinho had it all, if you see him now play you can still recognize him, he only needs to get fit and (i mean this good) lose some weight, for him to move easily like he did before.
Ronnie had more style than Messi and he still does actually, but if we'll take a look on the substance I'll say that Messi's 08/09 equaled Ronnie's 05/06. Both were legendary.
Because in football the objective is to kick the ball not kick the opposition...
English Sunday league is full of over--weight middle aged men who were not talented enough to become professional footballer's so instead they sit in the pub on a saturday afternoon criticizing Professiona footballer's on Sky Sports commenting on what they "should have done" Whilst drinking a pint of lager...not pretty
oh yeah clearly?! his career is just going from strength to strength?! how's he doing in the Champions League this season?? I like Ronaldinho but calling him the greatest ever player is a joke.
every players have their ups and downs a sports career doesn't last that long specially when u are at the top so yea he is not the greatest but he is close he would smoke pele..maradona..and all the old school players ya ll call great
eh, what?? firstly define 'smoke' cause neither Pele or Maradona was a defender!! Secondly, if he's better than Pele, Maradona etc but not the greatest then who is the greatest?? Third, when you see how hard some players work to be at their best then look at Ronaldinho and his lifestyle its such a shame, he had so much natural ability he thought he was 'untouchable' but obviously not...
uhh who said pele and maradona were the greatest players of all time? maybe of their time but the game has evolved they wouldn't last long now. and im srry but to go from a crappy brazilian team to france than spain than italy + winning the best player award it takes work a lot of work more work than most players that are at the top put in.
no1 did ya tit, u said Ronaldinho may not be the greatest, he's close but he'd smoke them, so in your wise opinion who's the greatest Im askin ya..?? and dont get me wrong, I was a Ronaldinho fan!! and in your infinite knowledge, explain 2me how u can describe a man, who's whole professional career (inc. PSG) was ridiculed because of his love of drink, women and partyin and lack of commitment, as a model professional who works harder than most players..?? give me a break mate
and as for "Pele and Maradona wouldnt last now" are u off your head?? Todays game is turning into a non-contact sport! They played in a much tougher tackling, less disciplined era than Ronaldinho, they didnt get the type of protection he got, would Ronaldinho of lasted then is the real question!
Pele shone on the biggest stage of all - the World Cup. as did Maradona. Ronaldinho was supposed to have done the same at the 2006 World Cup but in his biggest test he was a disapointment unfortunately.
more physical but required no skill nor speed seriously stop u are trying to argue about something really stupid. anyone can tell u football has evolved and is now a better, harder sport...same goes for every other sports so just stop im wasting my time here and really i think ronaldinho played well during the world cup its just that zidane was such a power house in the midfield during the quarter final ronaldinho couldn't do anything same goes for kaka great player but zidane is just better
I didnt say it hasnt evolved did I? no, cause I no it has... but evolution doesnt mean improvement!! OK, so years ago you didnt need speed or skill?? are u really trying to say that?! wel for players that wouldnt last now (according to you) why is it that Pele, Maradona, Best, Puskas etc are known throughout the world as football's irreplaceable greats?? are we all missing something that only you know?? and please explain to me why, in your opinion, Ronaldinho is so fantastic??
kuyt is beter maar, ffe in het engels aangezien hier alleen engelse zijn : Kuyt from holland is better then ronaldinho, but whats the name of this song?
trust me i used 2 fink i cud neva do dis skill buh i learned how 2 do it in like a week tops nd im not a "gifted" footy player im no better den da average person!! with practice ne1 can do it!
I am a 'gifted footballer' one of the only things i am good at, this is one of the easiest skills to do BUT getting it right in a game is a different story
its easy once you practise it a few times, what 2 do is break it down in sections then, try the whole thing, then try and get faster, then try against m8s, then in a game if you want.
Wow somwuns done thier homework lol but i know that but im sure i saw somwher that ronaldinho likes to call it the chewing gum because the ball appears to be stuck to his foot
