  • I do not think that the followers of Rev Moon are that stupid to believe that someone is great just because he or she says so. That is rediculous thinking.

There are many who say or pretend to be great, but there is no comparison with Rev Moon. His greatness is the greatness of heart. And I must admit, not everyone can see it.

Did those people see the greatness of Jesus? Almost nobody did. They saw Jesus with their "human" eyes.

  • So one must have superhuman eyes to perceive greatness? That's absurd. What you are really saying is that if a person such as Moon is a hypocrite who preaches that adultery is the worst sin, and then commits it himself; or someone who claims to be the "True Father" and then is such a terrible father to his own children that one of them commits suicide and another dies young from drug abuse, that he is great anyway because these perceptions were made with merely "human" eyes? That's insane.

  • Rev. Moon is one of the most misunderstood people of human history. Just as Jesus was. The greater the caliber of personality, the more misunderstanding. That is the way it is.

Jesus was misunderstood and betrayed by one of his close disciples. So is it surprisin that the same thing happens to Rev. Moon?

Those who are a bit spiritually sensitive, can see the greatness of his heart. The others misunderstand him completely.

  • Moon's alleged "greatness of heart" is thought so by his followers because he has himself claimed it for years. Only because Moon keeps saying how wonderful he is and how deep is his love do you and other followers continue to believe this. If one sets aside Moon's self-serving testimony to his own goodness and merely looks at the evidence, once finds a wily Korean businessman who has found ways to make enormous amounts of cash by exploiting humanity's naive wish to find an avatar or messiah.

  • Those "Ex Moonies" claim to know it all.

But let us not forget, that Jesus was betrayed by an ex disciple. Did he know it all?

This man at least realized his mistake later and regretted his deed. But it was too late. Jesus was dead.

  • It is laughable that you compare Moon to Jesus, who lived a humble life, whereas Moon lives a life of luxury at the expense of his followers, who are often in financial difficulty because of the church's many demands for contributions, such as the laughable requirement to pay a fixed sum for however many generations of ancestors are to be liberated. I do not regret my decision to leave the Unification movement and I am relieved to know that, since he is 90 years of age, Moon will soon be dead.

  • Sir I'm sorry that things didn't work out for you, but you were in the movement for 10 years and no one forced you to be there. Also judging by the pictures you looked quite content while you were part of it all. Anyways I thank you for your investments because of people like you I am here today, raised a second generation, and now married. I am grateful for all the people who gave any part of their life to make a better world. I know it isn't easy so thanks and God bless.

  • Yes, no-one "forced" me to be in the movement in the sense that they didn't use physical compulsion. But what they did instead was use psychological manipulation and undue influence by using thought reform (as earlier perfected by the Communist Chinese) to effect my conversion and bypass my intellectual resistance. I regret my 10-year involvement and therefore I reject your gratitude and thoroughly repudiate anything I ever did to assist Moon.
