That is without a doubt Jordan Segovia...i can tell for many reasons, but the main one is that, even today, you wont be able to find a layover spin like that in the male circuit...

people do it on ice with only a thin blade?

show me a vid of someone doing that on ice. Yu Na Kim Sort of does one but not really. To completly flip upside down into a true inverted you really have to push the little toe under your butt. Ice skaters spin in the middle of their skate either in the middle of the toe or in the middle of the heal. Hitting that inverted postion will make an ice skate hit an edge stopping the spin.

I agree never liked the male form doing this spin. Do a search for Heather Mulkey, check out her long program her inverted is very good.

Ice skaters don't do that, lay overs are onle seen on wheels.

@zminsk Ice skaters DO do that. They are a form of camel spin - in fact, the bent knee layover is Yuna Kim's signature spin. :3

@fatskateman Actually, a figure blade is concave, so if you spun on a the flat of your blade your spin would actually stop from the second edge dragging. All spins are done on an edge on ice.

I really don't see how this guy's layover is more parallel to the ice than Yuna's. You can find plenty of video of what is commonly referred to as the "Yuna Camel" on Youtube, and if you'd like to see a stillshot for a clearer image, do a google search.
