  • well left

  • He clearly left it because his 'other pay check' replied on it. He's as corrupt as that other cheating saffa, Hansie "I'm dead after my plane crashed" Cronje. The pair of them can fuck off, the stinking cheating saffa cunts. "No I never met I nice South African, and that's not bloody surprising me, cos their a bunch of ignorant bastards, who smell like baboons"!! Hahahahah!

  • @tnsandland why so much hate?

  • @tnsandland what is your problem...? maybe you should get off your ass and stop shagging the park bench... sounds like you have no respect for anyone talking and making jokes about someone who died... your mum would be so proud of you... Im a South African and proud of it. Im not gonna stoop that low and swear at you.. Only a person with insecurities talks down on people.. and the only ignorant person here is you.. Saying we smell.. your talking about your self there...

  • @tnsandland Ahh wait a minute.. your jealous of us... We get all the good attention where you are stuck with your finger up you butt.. good on you mate.. Here is the thing about most South Africans.. We don't give a rats ass what people like you say... So keep on firing at me.. Cant wait.... have a nice day bro... and all the best for the future..

  • lol- it probably didn't bounce as much as Gibbs expected.

  • WELL LEFT

  • its funny cause gibbs is an aggresive batsman

  • haha i think every batsman had one of these moments hey

  • Only thing I can think of is that he trusted the bounce?

  • That was a good leave.

  • Michael Clarke has been watching this video too much..

  • @lincolnvliu not any more he hasn't mate ;)

  • a la Hanse

  • It's away swing (what Kaspa was known for) pitching just back of a length, Gibbs is leaving it based on length and movement in the air.

What Kaspa does well here is seam it in off the wicket after it pitches. It also bounces less than you'd expect from that length and pace.

  • isnt he ashame off this?? dis is too apparent for a fixed match

  • It came as an out swinger...OMG! bunch of losers here!

  • LOL SIMPLY GREAT FIXING!!!

  • oh dear

  • yap absolutely that was fixed.....

  • fixing

  • ppl who r thinking dis was a match fixing whats ur reply 2 clarke nd katich wickets at 2005 ashes

  • @katakata1870 Man that was reverse swing and if you watch that clip again check it out how much the ball had swing.

  • @ranahasan24 dont be a twat, the ball dont reverse until at least the 60th over!

  • man, that ball stayed low..... it was back of a length no problem.

  • @wierdwesterner Take the risk leaving on that line tho lol

  • if it was match fixing i dont think he would make it as obvious as that !

  • Gibbs should learn from Pakistanis how to act when U are given money to lose.......this looks so fake.....

  • @19raghu i think he should learn from mohammad azharudin.because he was master mind in match fixing.

  • @g6327 true u said clearly all Muslims seem to be involved in all sorta scandals n stuff....Terrorists,Unfair play in sports etc etc

  • @19raghu THESE ARE BLACK SHEEP. ALL MUSLIMS ARE NOT INVOLVED IN SCANDALS.WHAT ABOUT AJAY SHARMA,MANOJ PARBHAKAR,AJAY JADEJA,LCHANSIE CRONJIE,HENRY WILLIAMS,MARLON SMAUELS AND MAURICE ODUMBE.THEY ARE ALL NON MUSLIMS.IF U R RIGHT THEN CLEARLY ALL NON MUSLIMS ARE ALSO INVOLVED IN SCANDALS.......

  • witch of a deilivery

  • one does not simply leave a delivery heading towards middle stump.

  • gibbsy earning a nice little bonus...

  • lol it hit middle

  • I think he thought it might have had a bit more bounce and went over the stumps looking atthe way he kinda jumped sideays. He was way wrong. still should have defended.

  • you leave the ball on line...it pitched on a good length just outside off and was coming in with the angle. Dont know what he was thinkin

  • gibbs expression:as if he didnt know anything

  • i actually think he is match fixing. If I ever did that I'd be filthy with myself. he looked like he didnt even care.

  • Ah...Too much whiskey the previous night, old chap?

  • poor observation........not so much movement of ball..........

  • I fucking love this vid. No matter how shit my day is, the sight of such a 24-carat piss-ant as Gibbs leaving a ball pitching on the stumps always brings a smile to my face. GOLD

  • 'How did you get out?'

'Left a pitched up ball on middle and off'

    'Why?'

''Cos I'm not very good at cricket.'

  • @dannidandannikins

    More like...

    "Why?"

    "50,000 Rupees"

  • @dannidandannikins "why?"

"dude, if sum1 offers u 50 grand, i guess u'd even let him f*** ur wife"

  • @dannidandannikins I wouldn't be so harsh on him, Herschelle Gibbs was one of the better batsman to play for South Africa. In this instance, the ball nipped back a little beat off the seam I suspect; and; his trust in the bounce, made his mind to leave the delivery.

  • @Quarker99 Yeah, I know he's a good player generally, I just made a bit of a joke of his shot here because... well, it's the internet.

  • @dannidandannikins it pitch on or about off stump and came back in at him off the pitch

  • Great ball.

  • ive seen better leaves on trees!!!!

  • @shimmi007 That's brlliant

  • @shimmi007 I see what you did there. ;)

  • man this guy kasprowicz had his ass kicked in the ICL by imran nazir ,,got smashed for 30 runs in one over 444666 was the readin..

  • it started to swing away and then seamed back onto the stumps. Good bowling but should have probably offered a shot

  • @aceandyrobb probably?

  • It cut back in

  • I've never seen an opener leave a ball on middle stump before. Way to go South Africa

  • @Tehui1974 it was given the judgement for the bounce...not the line.

  • There are match fixing charges on Gibbs, so you never know.

  • Maybe Herschelle was to drunk to see the ball!!

  • Hey Herschelle theres this woody type thing in ur hands called a bat... people usually use it to keep the ball away from the stumps!!

  • lol

  • I must say...that did look faster than 129 km/h...

  • ive seen gibbs get out leaving far too many balls on & around the stumps ? fixer ? to my mind at some point yes cos the guy has as more talent in his cock end than some!Great player when he wants to be !

  • gibbs is awesome in one day and t20 but unfortunately isnt that good in test cricket particularly facing challenging bowling attacks,he cud destroy any bowling attack in one day and t20 but story is different in test cricket

  • it started to swing away...then cut back,

good ball... i ould have tried to leave it too...

  • average ball. even an average batsman would never leave that.

  • clearly you don't know cricket.

  • Nope I know it very well. You on the other hand.. Leaving a ball that pitches just outside off stump against a bowler who is known to generate late swing who is also using a relatively used ball? PFFT

  • there we go, you have no clue, it swung out, right out of his hand.. then hit the pitch and jagged back off the seam. no late swing, and with a score of 38 runs, the ball is probably between 10-15 overs old, not a relatively used ball at all.

  • Incorrect. 10-15 overs is enough to shine one side of the ball to generate a hint of swing. It was a right hand bowler anyway so due to the angle, it was a very bad leave.

  • i didnt say it couldn't swing, im saying it was not a really used ball.

And i am correct about the swing out of the hand and the jag back. it looked as if it was missing the stumps to gibbs, so he left it, but by hitting the seam it moved back. Many Batsmen would have left this ball, after seeing the swing at first.

  • According to you, batsman shouldnt check where it pitches before making a decision.. where did it pitch mate? just outside off stump.. ''most batsman would have left that ball'' pfft.. it would have had to have been an amazing bal in that case.. and it wasnt.. you think tendulkar, steve waugh or jayasuriya would have left this? LOL no! Batsman all over the world face thousands of balls (from much better bowlers) and this is very rare

p.s. you might want to buy a book on cricket for beginners

  • @BelarusIsFun its swinging out genius... you sir, are a fool. Thats why he left it, because it was swinging out, and he expected it to keep going, but it cut back in.

its so obvious its not funny!

  • @aussiestuff hahaha yeah right.. your wrong. get it into your head

  • @aussiestuff im not saying that it wasnt a good ball.. im saying that its not good enough to get a wicket in this manner.. now if it was an outstanding swing bowler like Wasim Akram, you can understand

  • wtf lol

  • looks like the bounce might have got him a bit also. it seems to die off the pitch a bit, so perhaps he thought it was going to go over the stumps at first.

  • It has pretty clearly seamed in off the pitch.

  • yea, wonder how much money he got paid to leave that one...

  • The bookies made a shit load of money on that shot.

  • the ball didn't reverse, it was normal outswing, just a complete brainfreeze by gibbs.

  • I agree, you can see it swings out and then cuts in.

  • Was he trying to leave it on Length?

  • the power of swing :)

  • guys .....a new ball can definately reverse swing.....i saw wasim akram interview ....n he did say that at times a newball can reverseswing only after 10-12overs.....so safclegend92 is right.......ta

  • fair enuff then, but it did look like reverse at first sight, but even still the ball cud still be rough enough if all the feilders were picking and shining

  • I do and im a bowler, so u tell me what that ball has done then since ur an expert.

  • of course it did kasprowicz action is an action where the ball naturally swings away and that ball was swinging away and it come in, so reverse swing.

  • well it clearly just happened there

  • i have always wanted to do that lol might try it next game

  • you are to score less than 20runs my friend lol then we will pay you

  • touche! Filthy like Cronje.

  • reverse movement done him there, but u never shud leave a ball unless ur certain of what its going to do and this is from a number 9.

  • Wonder how much Gibbs received for throwing his wicket???

  • I once did the same thing, albeit in club cricket, but to the first ball of a grand final match. Shit happens!

  • The ball took an unusual turn. Gibbs must have thought that the ball would go above the stumps but unfortunately, it ended up hitting the stumps. Lots of more such excitement and action will happen in the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup in England. Hoping to be there with Pepsi's First Ball ka Captain.

  • bad but not as bad as michael clarke v NZ

its basically a fairly slow ball with no real swing or seam movement and he just let it hithis middle stump

  • he didn't know where his offstump was and the ball was swinging away but moved back off the seam

  • I agree with the comment that Gibbs didn't know where his offstump was.

I have seen him misjudge many deliveries and that is why sometimes for around the wicket bowlers,he opens up his stance.

He is a nice batsman to watch but match fixing did ruin this lad's career.

  • Match Fixer...

  • faulty guard... gibbs doesn't knw where he's standing

  • seems to me he's standing where he usually does.

  • maybe reverse swing??

  • its cut off the seam..

  • Gibbs must have been rat-assed again during this innings !

  • look where it pitches. Crazy leave

  • Old herschelle at his match fixing best again, haha.

  • @SBootchies89 f u

  • Its a brain explosion, call it low bounce, orlack of swing, I call it putting it on a spot and waiting for the batsmen to play a false stroke, this occasion, he played no stroke :P

  • i would call him an idiot except i did the exact same thing yesterday

  • lol same but it was a left armer coming t o me lol and im a right hander lol

  • wow muz224, you might need some english lessons buddy... "he fought it".

"he thought it" is what you mean.

    (only constructive criticism)

  • You need to use your common sense, it was just a typo. F and T are close on the keyboard if you can see.

  • 'just a typo' ..what about the 'h' that you 'forgot' too... man up.. you're an illiterate fuckwit..

  • What "H" are you talking about stupid, all the words are spelled correctly.

  • yeah that wasn't a typo dude, just admit your mistake

  • lol pplz relax just like get laid or sumthin

  • Are you volunteering lol?

  • are u a girl and if u r are u hot czo if u were id fuck u

  • hahaha you fucking retard

  • if anyone has actually watched him bowl before, his stock delivery is an outswinger, gibbs obviously must of thought it was gonna swing away from the offstump, and simply misjudged it

  • he thought it would bounce over but it stayed down

  • Actually, it didn't hit a bump or crack in the pitch.

Kasper bowls cutters and that was a standard off cutter which Gibbs didn't pick. He probably set him up for it bowling leg cutters.

  • if all you crazy people look closely, it was swinging away from the stumps..

it must have it a crack or a bump on the pitch and i comes back, watch closely

  • wtffff

  • how much money did he have on that???? A cheat.... he should never have been allowed to play the game again...no ifs or buts!

  • wow why would he leave that delivery

  • I think he fought it would bounce over the stumps

  • This is the most accurate explanation.

The line was still on the pegs, Gibbs would have known that given his stance.

He was definitely expecting more bounce, have a look at the length.

  • it was swinging away from the stumps, then it hit a crack or a bumb in the pitch, watch the video again... closely

  • That looked very very sus...

  • Yeah that did look like an outie before it pitched. Great bowling. One small fart and it's over... who would want to be a batsman? :P

  • haha! this is so funny! so embarassing for gibbs!

  • cant wait for the aus v s.a test series, real test cricket unlike the farce in india,...... win the toss win the test, india is a shit hole and is trying to ruin cricket

  • You racist bastard, just sticking up for your country by dising India, just because India can beat them in cricket.

  • Racist!!! fuck off you ignorant twat, you are clearly a moron. Do us a favour and leave the comments for someone with half a brain, you cheesedick.

  • Because he's right.. and your a retard.

  • cheesedick?...jesus christ

  • pitched on off. stayed on off. hit off.

    well batted...

  • yea kasper bowls big outties and this delivery had the shape of a big outtie but it cut back in and held its line, never leave a ball thats pitched on the stumps no matter how far its swinging

  • this is really shame,,,it seems a fixed match.

  • ever wondered where your middle stump is? Just ask mike kasporwicz he will show you!

  • well left Gibbs...

  • He bloody charged me $2ks for this.

  • Haaha best comment in ages. He has a suspect bowling action only instead of throwing cricket balls he throws matches

  • The problem is here the ball was in line to hit the stumps from the moment it left the hand.

You never leave something ont he stumps no matter how much a bowler is swinging it.

  • god knoows wht he was doing cos it didnt swing in or anythin did it mad ed

  • slight outswing

    then cut in slightly

    lovely delivery

    not well batted though

  • what n idiot

  • Gibbs is a talented batsman, but this is what happens when you don't move your feet. He had no idea about the line.

  • he's good at that

  • first the dropped world cup then this.... gibbs is gunna retire a very rich man

  • hahaha yeah the filthy racist clit

  • hes a cheat too.. match fixing and all.. cunt

  • i rekon thats so ridiculous one cud say its a case for match fixing! how can u leave it wen its barely pitched outside off. and if ur gona leave it put ur front foot outside the line..jeez i thought top batsmen wud know that

  • i think he was a bit in two minds, look at how the bat moves...he must be disgusted wit himself, i kno i wud...no fot movement once agane

  • plus he single handedly dropped the world cup..

  • WELL LEFT , dickhead LMAO

  • gibbs is a racist clit

    damn good he got out!

  • yes a racist bastard with gonorhea scars on his face

  • mundaa:

    See my reply to bsuebq.

Do Pakis reckon being called a Pakistani is a racist remark?

Their self-concept must be very low if that's the case.

  • bsuebq:

Gibbs, banned for two international matches plus one 20/20, had witnessed the bombardment by the Pakistani crowd of teammates in the outfield with various missiles.

Due to his feelings of disgust for the behavior of the crowd, he said '...fucking bunch of fucking animals. Fuck off back to the zoo. Fucking Pakistanis.'

He was dismayed to the point of making an emotional, insulting outburst. At no time did he make a racist remark, unless you believe being called a Pakistani is racist.

  • Being called a Pakistani if you're from Pakistan isn't racist, it's the truth. Don't blame Gibbs for shouting something back at the crowd, but to brand him a racist is wrong. So I agree with you, whoever said he's racist really needs to listen/read what people say/type before he judges anyone.

  • what the hell was he thinking ...

  • i think he just a lapse of concentration

  • haha, ah dam, thats gotta be the worst way to get out

  • i think gibbs thought it was going to tail away as it started to then came back in.

  • BigBlackBro.

    I agree with you.

The ball had swung slightly leg to off, then it seamed back.

It was a bloody good ball.

Better than some of those claiming match fixing want to believe.

  • that leave alone looked so suspect. . he HAD to b match fixing

  • Kaspa looks happy...probably didnt realise Gibbs was happy with his result from the bookies. Match fixer.

  • Best leave since a young Obi Kenobi shouldered arms to Darth Vader.

  • LMAO

  • hahahaha
