the sh1t sounds by far the best, to me. part of the problem is there is way too much bass coming from the amp. there's no way you could actually use a tone like that on any cd / live situation.. the fail mic wins!

jaja i got a superlux mic for free when i bought my powered mixer and monitors, it is really bad but i really never considered it for recording so if it is free it is great to screw around with several mics (no matter if they are crappy) without the intention of doing something serious jaja

Is there anyway I can get the sm57 dynamic mic to plug into my computer through usb? I don't currently want to buy any interface, mixer, or compressor as of now. Please help.

you can buy an adaptor to go from xlr to 1/8 inch and then go direct into your mic input. They cost about 17 bucks (or you might have to go xlr/1/4 and 1/4 to 8th, which would run you about 20 bucks). It's quick and dirty, but if you spend some time in mixing, you can get the tone to sound decent.

I don't really know much about adaptors and all that technical stuff because I never used that type of equipment to record before. I'm used to just plugging in my Mxl usb condenser mic straight into my laptop so i don't know much about the materials I'll need

Decent but you missed the best possibly way to use those mics.....together ! A condenser and an sm57 sound tight if you record both then use them both in the track.
