Jesse is brilliant, AoJB is one of the best albums I've ever heard. Jesse is NOWHERE near "emo" so you can drop that whole argument. Jesse is very politically and socially conscious and so are his lyrics.

It meant that he was putting to much of his heart into his performances, and not keeping a balance between emotion and technique. The thing is, you can have as much emotion as you want, but it means nothing without skill, but the same goes for skill: you could have the skills of Steve Vai, but if you put no emotion into what you do, it will sound like shit. You need to find a balance, something that Jesse lost because he missed his wife and family too much, and I respect his decision.
