So sad there is nothing like this going on now. Their mid-70s stage show was like a live action Betty Boop cartoon on acid, featuring 30s jazz, jungle music, homemade instruments, avant-garde animation, topless dancers, dinosaur costumes, one-act musical skits, sometimes performed on multiple stages.... the closest thing you can see to it nowadays is Richard Elfman's film The Forbidden Zone.

i used to see this fantastic group at UCLA on the quad - i became a mystic knights fan and couldn't have been more stoked than when I was invited to join them for about 3 of the funnest years of my life! we could sure use some of this type of guerrila theater in the bland 2000's......miriam

Unfortunately Danny has a hearing problem and he can't take loud noises like those emitted from amplifiers and all. That's why he had to skip the Oingo Boingo reunion a few years back. But hey, at least he can still compose and sing.
