Just a 2.4ghz laptop with a Nvidia 9800gt vid card. The lens used was a f2.8 24mm sigma and f1.8 pentax I believe. Turned out pretty acceptable for my first shoot with this cam.
it was pretty well done, considering they shot in pizza place during rush hour! Obviously they had audio problems and they didnt light their actors as far as I can tell
Great microphone placement!! Need a little flavor on the cinematography though, just a little :) Mind if I ask what kind of lighting set-up was used in this short? Keylight and Backlight? I spotted a nook light in the background by the arcade machine.. or at least it looks like one...
Nice Film... I like the cinematography... it reminds me of the way mine was shot... Check me out sometime.. Thanks... We shot with the 7D Cannon as well..
I'm not sure if the scene depicted here was deliberately shot this way, but... this is nothing like the original scene. Where is the outside shot?! Aside from this being terrible, the Canon 7D is a great camera buy!
dude i will b looking for a movie at the stores from u good job you can do it im in the middle of my film with the 7d now but i do have some ? for you that could help me please help if needed later
The actors seem like they have not seen the source material.
The same two shot, cross cutting for most of the conversation made the scene a little monotonous.
The look of the film was a little washed out, maybe youtubes fault, but it didn't look as if the blacks were crushed in the color correcting process.
Although I congratulate you on such a bold attempt at mimicking a classic movie. At least you show ambition and are not doing test, showing off plants in your backyard. Keep it up!
Thanks for all the comments! We had used a double system for this shoot with a Zoom H4n and lavs. It had provided some issues that I had dealt with during post (very noisy environment and we had shot this during peak hours in this restaurant), but I believed it turned out rather acceptable.
what is the point of this?

This film looks great! Did you use any lighting, anything other than the room itself?

@AntiLiberal14 relative to some of the other youtube stuff out there, this acting was pretty darn solid, haha.

good job except for minor audio lip sync issue and one actor lighting is a little darker than the other

@DigiEncryption pretty sure they used an early draft of the screenplay for Fight Club.
i don't think they were going for replicating the actual scene in the film.

The Latino actor is great, the white guy is God awful! Should have cast another actor to play opposite the Latino.
