Don't know what you guys are smokin' but I don't know of any 55 chevy funny cars runnin nitro and having to shift. That is just a healthy naturally aspirated car. With nitro cars, (dragsters and funny cars) traction is all in the clutch setup, in 3 and 3/4 seconds, you don't have time to shift. thats my 2 pesos worth

1/4 mile in 4.6 seconds from standing

0-100 mph in under 1 sec (or in under 50ft)

speed at the finish line (1/4 mile of course) is 320-330 mph

This isn't a top fueler, just making the sport sound impressive (like i even need to try..)

@pabloultraxtreme No, according to wikipedia they are rated at around 8000 to 10,000 HP so go figure. Remember this engines run on a mixture of 90% Nitromethane and 10% Methanol, on top of that they use a superchager, they have no coolant passages, they are cooled by the fuel coming into the engine , they cant run for maybe more than 10 seconds at full power without destroying themselfs.

thats cause if im looking correctly i believe its a lenco 4 or 5 speed kinds like what they use in pro stock but most of them are liberty clutchless instead of lenco

lenco has seperate levers for each gear. thats some old skool shit. they use jerico or liberty 5 spd in pro stock now.
