@olorkj He cuts his hand frequently on the strings and bridge because of palm muting mixed with that speed. He tapes his hand to prevent getting cut.

@olorkj It's used so that way he doesn't cut his hand while palm muting. He does as he calls a cave man technique and smacks the strings really hard for a deep palm mute, before he had the tape on that move would always cut his hand open. So he uses the tape to prevent any guitar-related injuries ^_^
