In reality it would have lasted much much longer. The only damage it caused was a cracked head gasket. Easy fix. I didn't have ARP head studs. But about 2 weeks before the head gasket cracked, I bought a new vq. So I figured i'd just wait till the new motor is in, and not waste money fixing my gasket.
Okay, now those numbers makes sense. Well, at least it lasted that long. That turbo bolted on to your new motor will be a beast! Congrats and looking forward to your 800hp!
And that stock block is going to blow with that much wheel horsepower. I'd suggest beefing up the internals with a rebuild or your gonna have no choice running that much boost. Don't get me wrong, I freaggin LOVE your G35, but it's gonna blow at that boost.
how much boost could the stock engine take regularly if it were on a daily driver? I am not looking to get 800hp, just a little more punch.

I ran 13psi on my DD with a 64mm turbo.
Id suggest not taking it over 11 psi if you're running 94 octane. These motors can make 400whp on a stock block without running too much risk.

I was mixing 104 octane. It held up fine for 20k miles. My new motor gets here thursday. Hello 800hp
