It happens a lot. The bar backed up right before the cobble shears. When that happens the bar comes out before going into the shears. By the way this is not just a steel mll, we run a lot of nickle base alloys. Different properties all of the time.

@dyobeats depends on how good the crew is, what product is running, etc. I worked at a bar mill and you could count on at least one per day....

probably the head of the billet didn't enter properly on the entry guide causing it to got stuck. btw, why isn't the snap shears and crop shears working for cobble cut?
