  • I'm not trying to steal your man or anything...BUT KEVIN IS HOT! Lol, LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!

  • Goooooooooo Kimmaaaaaaaaay!!! lol @ u being masterchef for 2nd time! lol nd offcourse the hair and fashion sequence! More luv to ya! *wink

  • Hair pattern and texture can also change with hormonal changes in the body. My step mom had completely straight hair as a child & teenager but after having 2 kids she now has a loose curl to her hair...my aunt that is going through menopause and now her texture has loosen quite a bit as compared to when she was younger. I believe there was actually a study published on this a few years ago linking hair pattern to hormone levels.

  • @missp2513 I believe you're right about that. I have locs (16 years now) and have had 4 children during that time and my hair is not as tightly coiled as it was before.

  • Hey Kim( like we go way back)

I know your super busy but I was wondering when another Weekend show would be up loaded? Keep up the great work! You motivate me to be so much.

  • Thank you for mentioning Chef John! The visual, audio recipes are fabulous!

  • I just discovered your weekend show.. Two Thumbs UP!!! I LOVE THEM!! Please continue to make them because they are really informative. I hope you get a cable show!! Good Job Kimmay!! :)

  • I love the way you speak with pride, diction, and strength. It's pure beauty.

  • Kimmay I used your hair journal at my natural hair party and so many women were amazed. Thanks for your help. Your the best.

  • already subscribed!!

  • I used dr. bonner's pepermint castile soap on my hair as a shampoo...is that a bad thing?

  • OMG the scarves look sooo amazing! i want those.

  • If any one can answer this I would greatly appreciate it. What do u guys recommend for ruining hair due to wearing micro braids for a long period of time. Any advice would be greatly appreciated... Thanks

  • @eboni818 I'm wondering if you'll have to chop it off. Sorry. But if it's damaged, , , It will grow back.

  • You are THE girl!

  • What should I wash my hair with to keep it healthy?

  • When are you coming back with more video?

  • Kim, the quality of your videos is absolutely wonderful. Thank you for taking the time to produce these high -quality productions. Please know that it is appreciated. Your videos educate and entertain.......they are both visually and audibly appealing.

  • @SacredWombman I agree 100!

  • If ANYONE can answer this, please do! With doing a bit of research (specifically with moisturizing & sealing the hair) I've learned that oils are typically best used when sealing the hair as it seals in the moisture. So with that being said, is putting oils into maybe a homemade product before sealing basically defeating the purpose of the oils? I hope this makes sense! PLEASE answer!!! I'm in the middle of experimenting as I've just started wearing my natural hair & need all the info I can get!

  • @pinkkizzez120 hey girl! basically some oils actually benefit the hair and kind of get absorbed into the hair like maybe olive oil. Other oils like mineral oil tend to coat the strands of hair causing moisture to lock in (and dry out) oils like mineral oil also prevents other things from penetrating into the hair. So basically to answer your question as long as the oil you are putting in the mixture can be absorbed into your hair then the oil you put in after wont defeat the purpose..

  • @pinkkizzez120

well, this is the thing, everyone's hair responds to product differently. If you are experimenting with mixing your own products, that's wonderful! My suggestion would be to make a small batch of your homemade goodies, and use it in your hair to see how it responds. If your hair doesn't like the mix, it will tell you :D hth

  • You added the choker scarf to your line!!!!!! You ARE the best!

  • I got my hat in the mail from your website yesterday. thank you! it is so cute and good quality too! i get nervous buying certain things on line but i LOVE LOVE LUV it. thanks so much

  • hi kim

im ur new subscriber. i have learnt a lot from ur videos.please advise me using giovanni leave in. its expensive for me to buy KKKT online. i bought it once and i loved ur leave in. but xpensive. what do u think thankyou.

  • @8muzna , I know you asked Kim this, but I will chime in too :D I have rotated between kckt and giovanni, taliah wajiid for the leave in mix. In her leave-in recipe, she said that ANY creamy leave-in will be fine. I know that she's been asked this question before, and she said that she's not interested in changing the formula that she uses for her hair, but to try out your own recipe and see how it works for you and let us all know. hth! :)

  • Hey Girrrrl,

I have to admit, when you debut that beautiful crochet green scarf/neck warmer, I was HOPING that you would ad that to your Luvnatural website and lo and behold, YOU DID!!!! Yeah (okay, I know I sound corny right now, but I was thrilled).

I have just placed my order for the "Wooden Ships Flapper Pull Through Choker - Leaf"-Hollaaaa!

So happy about your success too. Your channel has helped me tremendously and has also given me ideas for my new blog. BIG THANX!

  • New movie suggest: The Business of Being Born. Enjoy!

  • Has the Nov 28th show been put up? I can't always make my eyes focus on what I am looking for. :)

  • Lol, Run Forrest, Run!!

  • you need to write a book

  • Ms. Kim, when will we see health and exercise tips?

  • @marymj1986

I was going to ask the same thing. I've been doing a lot of research on what to eat to be healthy over all. I've been drinking lots of water. My skin is looking great so I know I'm doing something right. Wondering what eat since your hair growth is amazing.

  • Love the Weekend Show and all your vids. I'm not a natural girl, but I love your channel . Thanks for all the time and effort you put into your vids. Keep the coming. Be Blessed.

  • Kim! I'm a huge fan, keep up the amazing work! I had a question about this hair product that I've been using recently on my hair, what do you think about the Wen products?? Yay or nay and why? Thanks! :)

  • Wonderful episode, Kimmay!!!

  • i did the turkey this year using chef john's receipe and it was great. everyone liked it and it was my first time cooking a turkey. thanks for sharing

  • I loved the bloopers! Too cute!

  • I LOVE the new accessories! I wanted to know if you ever had any issues in the winter with your nape rubbing on your coats, scarves hats. My nape has been my problem area since forever and have been cautious of wearing wool, cotton etc because i get soo much damage from it. Do you have any issues with that area? what do you do to protect that area? Love the weekly updates by the way.

  • @Undefynedsoul, I know you asked Kim about her "nape" area with winter and all, but I have a tip for you. I get satin hair caps from Wal-Mart ($2 ) I just sew the satin cap into my winter hats, so that there's less rubbing. I also have a scarf like thing, that I have lined with satin. Hth :)

  • Just checking in real quick to CONGRATULATE you and wish you well in your current and future endeavors! I especially appreciate your movie picks because they're available on Netflix streaming instantly. And oh yeah...the hair is SICK! Keep up the good work, Kim! :)

  • Ok, this comment has nothing to do with this video but I've been perusing through your channel and I must say that on video #18 - you tube hair journey #2, re the photo posted @4:18 w/the fro, gurl that pic is cover-worthy for something. Perhaps you'll consider putting it on the cover of your upcoming hair care book. You are such a beautiful lady on the inside and out Kim. Keep up the great work, as you are an inspiration to many.

  • Hi! I just subbed you. I'm 16, I habe 4c hair, and it is sort of thin. I am all natural. I want thicker and longer hair what do I do! And should I use yogurt in my hair? Please help! - A sadden teen

  • Try the Movie "After Sex" on Netflix..Cute movie especially the end..Can't be a homophobe though...It's about eight couples in varying stages of their relationship -- all set in the scene of just having had sex -- and examines how they deal with intimacy in the 21st century..too funny!

  • Thanks Kim. Keep flying high with the eagles and be uneffected by the squawking, scratching, flightless chickens below. I am thankful and blessed by your work. PKizzm

  • Love your personality! You was GIVING IT sister when you were modeling your accessories!!!

  • Hey kimmay.. how do u protect and moisturize your hair in th winter

  • @cab12000 she follows the same regimen she normally does all year round. She uses water to moisturize and her leave in recipe to seal in the moisture. Check out her channel you'll find everything you need in an organized manner. :)

  • I appreciate you for making such great videos.

  • Is it me or is something wrong w/ the system? Cuz I'm having the darnest time posting my comment?!? Anywho... I'm a fairly new subscriber so bear w/ me if you've addressed this already. I watched your updated wash N detangle video and wanted to know what are the scissors used for? Is it to get rid of the knots before shampooing -OR- is it for trimming? Do you trim? If so, when and how often? Let me know. Thanks!

  • I am a fairly new subscriber so bear w/ me if you've already answered this question. In your updated wash N detangle video, what are the used scissors for? Are you using them to handle the knots while shampooing or to trim? Do you trim? If so how often? I've watched this video several times and there was no mentioning of the scissors. Let me know. Also, please enter me in the contest. Thanks!

  • Kim (or anyone else) I can't find the video where you explained which products you like and use. I am specifically looking for the Curls products because I would like to purchase them ASAP instead of purchasing something in the stores but there are SO MANY products on that website that are very similar. Anyone?

  • enjoyed it and will try chef john this year!

  • I thought that your hair (growing out of your hair) changed every 7 years due to hormonal changes that happen at different stages in ones life. Have you seen anything on this?

  • Kim,

I love that scarf you wear at the end of this video (it ties, with the knitted flower). I thought that that scarf was a part of your luv naturals infinity scarf line. Is that incorrect? I love that scarf and I'd buy many like that. I'm sure other gals would too. If it's not a part of your line then I'd strongly consider it.

  • Enter me thanks Kim love yore videos!

  • Thanks for another great video! Your turkey looked delicious and I liked your movie pick. Been recently thinking and talking about burlesque; how did you know? ;-) Keep up the good work and Happy Thanksgiving!

Oh, and thank you for introducing us to new YT channels as well!

  • well i'm going on my third year of being natural and this winter is killing me. i want to have protective styles and the one you had was really nice with the bump in the front and the rest of the hair is tucked but my front edges are starting to break more with other protective styles. i've always been kinda bald there but i want to avoid that as much as possible this winter. any ideas?

  • i miss your "advise to my 23 year old self" video... I was looking for it to show my little sister b/c we both worked non stop since we were of age and after seeing your video things were really put into perspective for me. I wanted to show her the video but I can't find it. :0(

    Enter me

  • I love infinity scarfs and Chef John at Food Wishes:)

  • hope no one takes offense to this... but the moments when you are just talking to us are much better than the obviously scripted moments. i know the script is necessary but just continue with that conversational tone. it feels more comfortable for me as a viewer and it seems it is for you as well. dont be afraid of a few mess ups. we know you're only human. and u can always edit them out! lol...

anyways... keep doing what you do. you're doing an awesome job!

  • great show Kimmie! I sooo look forward to these :) Keep up the great work and continue to have fun!

  • Great show! you had me cracking up with the bloopers!! I look forward to our shows. Enjoy your Thanksgiving with family and friends :)

  • I love bettyskitchen, she has so many interesting recipies. I partially agree with you about the hair question. I've been natural for 15 years and my hair seemed looser at BSL length than TWA length, but I always thought and remember reading that it was due to gravity. Sounds silly, but as hair grows longer gravity has a greater effect on it pulling it down which gives the appearance of a slightly looser curl. It looks looser, but has a tendency to mat more. IDK. Happy Turkey Day!

  • Love the bloopers.! It showed your lighter side (-:

  • @nappydelta --I agree!

  • Love the bloopers! I just wanted to say GO HEAD KIM with your Thanksgiving feast. And, I'm hungry now!

  • Kimmay-- did you crochet that green flower scarf yourself or did you purchase it? Will it be for sale on your website? I really like it.

  • lol i u r such a great person. and u r beautiful inside and out. i hope u acconplish all of your goals.

  • I really enjoy your shows....so professional and fun. I was wondering if you happened to catch Diane Sawyers USA vs China episode last night? There was a comment made by the owner of Alibaba that reminded me so much of you. He said that being number 1 is the result, not the goal. It is a result of the mission. I immediately thought of luv naturals and your success. What do you think is the reason for your success? Will you ever do a video on entrepreneurship?

  • I'VE SEEN IT! I loved "A Wink and A Smile". I love the way the women were diverse but all still had some longing to do burlesque which was an empowerment for them. Kudos to the lady who was in her 50's and in great shape. I'm a luscious (plus size) woman myself and watching all the ladies with different body types helped me. I hope some of the other viewers enjoy this movie as much as I did. Be Blessed.

  • @NaturalGlory07

Awesome! I hope others get the chance to see it too. In many ways, it was very inspiring.

  • Thanks soo much Kim!!! You're a wealth of very beneficial information!!!
