This game is a great play for all gamers. There is no monthly fee so you can play as freely as you like, without the nagging feeling that you have to pay again to run the game. This is a 10/10 game. Look out for Guild Wars 2 in all the stores (GAME sells it now!)
I bought the guild wars trilogy for $50, and played it for maybe 3 hours due to technical issues (lag mostly). All my requirements are past the minimum and direct x is up to date so i dont see why i had as many as i did. WoW is way more entertaining. I know everyone compares every MMO to WoW these days, but it really is the benchmark for MMORPG's. The amount of content even from the vanilla version of the game is impressive. Hands down, WoW is the king.
@CodyElford WoW has the most subscribers, because it is simple, easy and blizzard always caves and gives the players what they want (when its not the right thing to do). etc at the start of TBC they said their will be no flying monts in azeroth... now look. WoW is not king at all. Blizzard are ruining it because they're running out of ideas. Ever since I had to quit Final Fantasy XI, i've been throwing around free MMO's, and nothing has ever come close to FF, but I think i'm going to give this game a try. It's gotten alot of high reviews, and it looks decent. I just hope it's storyline driven. The only thing I don't think I'm going to like is that it looks like monsters can aggro you from three miles away.
@DeathBlooms216 You obviously made this comment a long ass time ago, but no monsters do not aggro even if you walk by them, you either have to attack, come in direct contact, or just barely pass them to get them to attack. And Guild Wars is very story driven for PVE, cinematics and fully voiced scenes for missions are the fun of it:)
you have to buy the actual game off the shelf but its free per month, the level cap is 20 but its very tough to get there once you get to the lvl 17-20 but you continue to gain skill points after you hit 20 but complete the lvl 20 over and over again, for a start i suggest the prophecies campeign, start with a elementalist, as they are the easiest to play, hope this helped

I've never seen a heal ranger before. Because Expertise doesn't affect spells. This doesn't look like Hard Mode, and you're level 20.
The thing about Guild Wars videos is that there isn't much "excitement" to them. You can't dash through enemies like WoW or some other game like that, and you can't exactly show massive raids because most missions are pretty much raids. I think the best thing about Guild Wars is the gameplay, not the appearance.

and Heal Rangers can be used, not very useful tho, expertise affects all SKILL (not Spell) so your limited to signits and the likes. and i have to agree, after playing GuildWars since its release many years ago, and recently quitting.. it doesnt get much more exciting than shown in the video :D Yeah.. you can solo mob groups, but its nothing awsome, just pressing keys 1-8 in the right order to not get masacred.

GW has great graphics! you just cant tell from the youtube vids. WoW is fun, but the graphics are nothing like these. in a place called the catacombs there is a mural that it took 3 months to program. just little stuff like that is what separates GW and WoW.
As a player of Guild Wars for nearly 4 years, and WoW for one year. I must say I personally prefer Guild Wars. The focus of guild wars is in the 8 skills at a time you can bring, forcing the player to focus more on skill than gear. The PvP of Guild Wars is hands-down the most balanced PvP I have ever experienced, and the PvE has some great storytelling. The no monthly fee of Guild Wars allows players to play as hardcore or as casually as they like.
World of warcraft is awesome but i dont like it cause it cost to much and i dont play on the computer so much so im going with this... it looks pretty similer to
there arent tigers there is the stalker things which are like mountain lions. However they are the most common pet so they arent too good. The best pets are the ones that break your pet enchantement spell. THis you need a freind to use a dissrupting spell while you charm the animal and they cant break it. TIP get a bear
The best thing about gw in my opinion is that you only have 8 skills active at a time. Even though this limits your opportunities its more fun to gut together a good build where the skills work together, and the skills are more interesting than in most other games.
Also, the leveling is fast and easy, so you can spend more time playing than just leveling up.
And finally; the armor. Each proffesion has its max armor, the fancy ones have the same stats but cost more.

wow, worst build for a ranger I've ever seen! mending hurts your energy regen,heal party too much energy, heal other, only heals others and a lil too much energy, heal area you can heal enemies and it has a small range, and 1 attack skill? wow! Rangers and damage dealing/interrupting sometimes they have skills that make you bleed, and become poisoned and stuff, bad ranger, remake build.
ehhhhh a ranger isnt a healer so get rid heal party (too much energy cost) heal other (same reason) heal area(too much energy and heals baddies) mending(lol bad skill all around, too much energy loss for a measly 1-3 regen) rangers are dmg dealers...take apply poison for pressure on enemies, take other attack skills, a blocking stance and troll unguent.
I really cant tell if this guy is a low level or a high level with just a really crap skill set - without using skills he is hitting for 70 so im thinking he is lvl 20 - but that looks like the skill bar I had at lvl 5 on my ranger
Those aren't my usual skills, at the time I was having difficulty being accepted into groups late in the game because all they want is monks, the skills in the video are desperate attempts to convince people a ranger isn't totally useless.
It's not a Grind Fest. It's a story campaign type game. Different chapters = different games.

Guild Wars: Eye of the North (Prophecies sequal)
Do main missions, cinemas, bosses, farming, marketing, rare armors and equips as any game would have. Dungeons..the like. But It's still an MMO entirely. PvP is pretty intense.
Finishing the chapters doesn't mean you're done, either.
they have confirmed in GW2 that there will be persistant explorable areas, where you can see othre players, but dungeons will be instanced, and missions.
They havent comfirmed that you will be able to constantly be able to see other players in GW2 but they have said there may be Persistent areas, similar to those traditionally used in other online multiplayer games, which may allow players to meet and interact while exploring. However the party concept will still remain in missions and dungeons.
Double-comment, OH did I mention the GODDAMN CRAPPY ACTION BAR? Omg, can't you even extend it so that you can have over 100 Spells right on your screen? And another thing: The animations sucks balls.
I haven't really played Guild-Wars, but from what I've seen Guild Wars in itself sucks balls, since it got crappy graphics, totally glitched, why do people even say the graphics are good?

Guild Wars: Factions
Guild Wars: Nightfall
Guild Wars: Eye of the North (Prophecies sequal)
Do main missions, cinemas, bosses, farming, marketing, rare armors and equips as any game would have. Dungeons..the like. But It's still an MMO entirely. PvP is pretty intense.
Finishing the chapters doesn't mean you're done, either.

other games can be stand alone..they also combine with one another if you have them linked through your account.

they have confirmed in GW2 that there will be persistant explorable areas, where you can see othre players, but dungeons will be instanced, and missions.

on GW2 you can se them when you is in exploreable area :) but yeah its pretty sucks that its not in gw1

They havent comfirmed that you will be able to constantly be able to see other players in GW2 but they have said there may be Persistent areas, similar to those traditionally used in other online multiplayer games, which may allow players to meet and interact while exploring. However the party concept will still remain in missions and dungeons.

I haven't really played Guild-Wars, but from what I've seen Guild Wars in itself sucks balls, since it got crappy graphics, totally glitched, why do people even say the graphics are good?
The gameplay sucks. PvP is totally messed up.
ETCETC.
World of Warcraft on the other hand, high FPS, PRIVATE SERVERS, almost flawless gameplay, the graphics are good enough.
And if you want a game with good graphics, play AoC or something. I won't even try GW, since from what I've seen it doesn't beat WoW.

WoW has SHIT GRAPHICS that arnt even nice to look at.. maybe if ur 12.. whichu most probably are... guild wars is a mature version and better looking rpg than WoW... Wow is the easiest game ever and its fucking boring.... I played it for 1 hour and put it down... $20 wasted!

wow=ps3. expensive, graphic, soo many features blah blah blah
gw=wii. cheaper, couldn't give a fuck about most of it cos its a hell of alot more fun and its just cooler :D

I think the actual characters in Guild Wars look better than WoW guys.
In other words, I'm trying to say the terrains in Guild Wars aren't as sharp as WoW, whereas Guild Wars has better graphics on the playable characters.
