  • Beautiful passages, well read... but the tape hiss is awful. I wish I could recommend it but sadly despite the beauty of the material and the photographs I can't.

  • Thoreau wrote once that "millions are awake enough for physical labour, but only one in a hundred millions to a poetic or divine life" And so it is. Most people who surround me are only interested in movies about killing, vampires, computer games, cars, motorbikes, fighting, wining sport competitions, anything but nature`s beauty. Millions are awake for plain stupidity...

  • @txikilin Can we please sit and conversate?

  • John Muir is my hero! Makes me proud to be British!

  • Just started reading " My First Summer In The Sierra " by John Muir. This is the first of his books I've read and it's GREAT ! I don't read much, but I'll read everything his name is attached to..." Nature's Temple " is next.

  • These photos are incredible..did I say that...and you read perfectly as it matched.

  • these words are amazing..pictures too.

Can you put the words down so I can copy them?

  • Thanks for the enthusiasm for Muir. Get thee a copy of the book and enjoy the words everyday! Aye, Muir lives on!

  • John Muir, from Dunbar, Scotland. A great man but his taste in facial left alot to be desired !!!
