Jan didn't die....she actually is in a coma at University Hospital...I remember the last episode she was on...she woke up a few minutes and accused Mimi of trying to kill her then she flatlined and Lexie saved her, but she went into a coma...and has been in a coma since 2005.

i think they wanted to do other stuff. unfortunately. KS ended up on GH right after leaving DOOL. now she will finally be reunited with JC on GH. he will play a different character named Matt hunter..I'm so happy see them back on-screen again.

Kirsten left in 2004...and Jason left in 2006....Brandon Beemer and Martha Madison took over the roles and Belle and Shawn were written off March 2008 they're sailing around the world with their daughter Claire like Bo and Hope did years ago.
