  • i'm 19 and have Asperger's syndrome and i know that AS is not a disorder. it is simply a different chemistry of the mind where their are slightly less front-er lobes in the brain that control our social interaction and emotional behavior, and because theirs less front-er lobes it makes the amygdala part of the brain larger which makes us smarter than non-Autistic people. And if people need to speck to someone if they think they could have AS they should speck to people who have Asperger's

  • page no longer exists, went to main page, they just wanna sell bullshit books

  • Seriously, you put a bit of info in a video to entice people to visit your site with the expectation that there will be useful info. When you get to the site it's pretty much a big advertisement selling your book. Pretty sleezy IMO.

  • Too vague and uninformative.

  • great informative video, thanks!

  • Awsome video

  • LycanthropicAsshole is obviously insane..

  • im 26 and i think i have aspergers... i want to get tested for it.

  • I was diagnosed with Asperger's when I was in my mid-twenties and then put in a home for severely autistic and mentally disabled people where staff are known to be abusive to the people there but they do everything they can to keep it out of the papers. I spent a week there where I was forced to spend most of my time in bright lights and no privacy and people constantly wanting to grab and grope me and staff screaming at me to get out of my room and "mingle". It. Was. HELL!!! DX

  • very useful video

  • it describes me to the t

  • @LycanthropicAsshole People like YOU!! LycanthropicAsshole, are the reason why there are some brutally right-wing anti-NT aspie supremacists lingering on sites such as wrong planet. Because of people like you and your sick little thoughts. People like you should be driven to the oceans, not the people your targeted. Go drown yourself LA, you give the NT people a bad name...

  • @TheSchemer1 He's insane.. he probably has the symptoms himself, and is suffering from paranoid delusions that people want to do this to him.. thats my take on it .. been there done that sort of thing

  • @TheSchemer1 please don't 'absorb' him and let HIM affect you.......Garbage people say obvious garbage things. As soon as they speak, everyone knows THEIR problem.....very transparent

  • @musicluvinguy I just thought id express myself either way...

  • @LycanthropicAsshole actuly that is what they should do to you if your that much of a fuckwhit

  • great info, need more like this, you're doing a great job

  • Good video!

  • I'm female and in my early forties and have a twenty-one and two year old. I'm on medication for severe depression and the medical authorities do not want to label me they say! My family on my father's side go back generations of Aspergers, ASD and Autism. Younger members of my family were diagnosed as children with Autism, ASD and Aspergers. It is clearly obvious there is some sort of hereditary condition going on, a genetic condition, but no-one is prepared to give me a diagnoses :(

  • We despearately need more discussion of this topic for all those who either have Aspergers or live and love someone with Aspergers. My Doctoral supervisor had two sons with Asperger's Syndrome and tragically lost one of his sons to suicide. It destroyed the family and left the other son even more isolated from the world. Well done Craig for all your efforts to help save others from tragic outcomes when it comes to Aspergers..

  • @easyweightloss4me

II feel for your story. As a bloke with Asperger's I can relate to the isolation. There really needs to be more services for people on the Autism Spectrum.

  • very helpful information for children, teens, and adults. I would like to see more reference material on this site. I am interested in discussions about helping families live with aspergers. I am interested in what career pathways are more suited for adults with aspergers.

  • Good info. My 12 yr old son is being tested for Asperger's and your website and newsletters have been very helpful.

  • I also have the Asperger Syndrome... Thank you for this really good and important summary!

Greetings from Germany - and have a nice day.

    :-)

  • @TVSandra1980

This is a good video. It's informative. There definitely needs to be more awareness about Asperger's and more support systems (especially in the areas of getting and keeping employment) in place, here in North America. In Europe (in the United Kingdom of Great Britain, where I'm originally from) there are more supports. I live in the Dominion of Canada. Well done Craig for bringing more awareness.

  • All the tests I did showed that I have asperger's. But I was unable to get a statement from my family, so I am unable to get the diagnosis, at least here in sweden. Pretty stupid. Basically, if your family is dead, you have no chance of getting the diagnosis.
