I know people can do bad things even when raised to do good, thats not what I'm contesting. But the fact is that there is no species with the potential to harm each other that can live in as big groups as humans and in (relative) peace. God`s word did not condemn slavery as immoral, but regulated it. Therefore the bible can never be the word of a god. God`s morality cannot change according to time and place.

In fact the bible regulates slavery, witch is an indication that the bible accepted slavery as a normal social situation. That is one of the reasons why the bible can NEVER be the word of god. God`s morality cannot change according to time or place. God`s morality has to be universal, valid in all places, ANYTIME.

I see beauty everywhere I look. The thought of life having evolved into this multitude by its own accord fills me with awe and fascination more than any creation ever could. I look at the starry sky and know there are billion and billions of stars in billions of galaxies and I wonder if someone in one of those, in just that moment, is doing the same and I smile of joy thinking there probably is.

I helped a old confused man lost in a strange country get in contact with his family when all the people around him just looked at their shoes or nearest wall. And it made me feel good.

There is a God and I know him, and he is everything you want, but your too ignorant to know you want him. God can use a book you think is foolishness to reveal himself to humankind, His ways are above our ways, so are his thoughts. I've heard many atheistic arguments and i've critically examined my belief system and the bible Parallel to humanistic evolution. But I cannot deny God's existence simply because I experience his tangible love, that he has revealed to me.

But i have eternal life in Jesus and my consciousness will melt in his presence in utter awe, glory, joy, pleasure and satisfaction for all eternity. To be in his presence is to know life in the fullest experience imaginable.

Just because we do not see Him all the time does not mean he is not there. We don't see air but is it there? Yes. And without it we could not survive. How would explain that something as amazing as this vast universe came to be? It appeared out of thin air? How about people? How did we come to exist? Apes?

In fact the bible regulates slavery, witch is an indication that the bible accepted slavery as a normal social situation. That is one of the reasons why the bible can NEVER be the word of god. God`s morality cannot change according to time or place. God`s morality has to be universal, valid in all places, ANYTIME.

@ULTIMATEBROLY1 there are many proofs.for one(even though regarded as myth,precedes the bible with the same stories),the egyptian story of creation says we came from the sun(RA).but not just merely the sun,the tears of the sun(the residue,the DUST).the egyptians spoke in metaphors.yet,they already had knowledge of biology and astronomy.moses got most his knowledge from egypt.do you see the connection?genesis implys the same knowledge of the egyptians.except the bible claims a god is responsible.

I believe in God, evolution, & Big Bang and I have no problem about it ;) But I hate religious people who make religous look like ridiculous! Atheists aren't the devil, they're just able to be good themselves. You both should stop criticize each other, and enjoy your life being the more good you can. You make the good, you make God's will. Peace, we are all humans and don't judge someone because of his beliefs, there is no stupidity in believing or not in God.

Energy can not be created or destroyed, it can only be transferred. This 'scientific fact' must beg the question then- Where did ALL matter and energy get transferred from? Only ONE source is capable of this kind of power.

thats an illogical unjustified statement. First off, we have no knowledge of any form of reality before the big bang, so we cannot make any justified statements about the matter/energy before. However, as you said, matter/energy is eternal apparantly, so what says the universe (in whatever form) had to have a beginning?

There is a God and I know him, and he is everything you want, but your too ignorant to know you want him. God can use a book you think is foolishness to reveal himself to humankind, His ways are above our ways, so are his thoughts. I've heard many atheistic arguments and i've critically examined my belief system and the bible Parallel to humanistic evolution. But I cannot deny God's existence simply because I experience his tangible love, that he has revealed to me.

Evolution says nothing about the existence of God, only that the God (if he exists) used non-magical techniques to sculpt life. the God you speak of can apparently set off chains of super-precise events, with effects leading years into the future, so as to fit into His Almighty Plan. Are you telling me that God COULD NOT use evolution to create life instead of magic?

propagating the species is also a worthless pursuit as we are doomed to extinction anyway. There is no reason for atheists to be optimistic about life. But i have eternal life in Jesus and my consciousness will melt in his presence in utter awe, glory, joy, pleasure and satisfaction for all eternity. To be in his presence is to know life in the fullest experience imaginable.

if God is real, then he is everything you want because he is the source and the root of the most profound, euphoric emotion you have ever experienced. Jesus is the way the truth and life. if there is no God then there is only chaos and nothingness. Order intricacy and specification do not evolve from nothing. If there is no God your life is meaningless and you will cease to exist apart from death, your greatest ambition is momentary pleasure which has no meaning anyway.

We all can argue back a forth about what we believe and do not believe. But, astronauts were in orbit around the moon on one Christmas Eve so many years ago now. And they read from Genesis. Genesis is many things, but the poetry and hope of it came back to earth, in these scratchy-sounding words of brave men so far from home. And yet, so close, in the hearts of millions.
