Yes I heard of a few hairdressers who fry those little scumbags by the hair straightener!One of my acquintances(hairdresser) killed the lice in one of her clients' hair.

I think you are wrong. The eggs are glued to the hair shaft. Most people think they are seeing and removing eggs but in fact they are just removing molted larvae cases. Children spread lice at school by hugging, and their heads often come into contact.

youre right. the eggs arent that hard to get out, HOWEVER... you can catch them not necessarily by hugging someone but coming in contact with people who do by getting to close in those ways...

i know because i had them when i was younger and many people have gotten them that way. ive talked to people who have and whatever... so yeah. IT IS POSSIBLE!

This is a mistake most people make. You are actually pulling out larvae cases - the molted skins from a louse as it grows larger and from kid to adult. If you put the thing you are pulling from your hair under a low power microscope, you will see. Eggs are stuck to hair using a glue as good as superglue. You would need a specific solvent to part it from the hair.

gosh..i got lice from a girl at my school when i was younger. she gave it most of the class and they had to terminate the whole classroom. my mom spent 6hours getting all the lice and eggs out of my hair! gosh! they r so annoying! they just bug the shit outa me! p.s......my brother has lice now!

My kids got lice from school and we tried the lice shampoo, mayonnaise, and all kinds of other treatments that didn't work. They just kept coming back, and one of my kids had an allergic reaction to the shampoo. There are bad chemicals in that stuff, not good for little kids.

Buy a good metal lice comb at Wal-mart, not the cheap plastic kind. Comb through their hair every night, and it removes the lice before they can lay more eggs. Soon, no more lice. Just make sure you comb every night!
