  • This is also from the synthesizer of Eric Siday, who also brought us the CBS color logo, the 3-tone Time Magazine commercial of the mid-60s, as well as synthesizer work for Ford and Westinghouse commercials, etc. They were called "Identitones."

  • If you ever lived in South Florida this logo should remind you of Haitian Radio...

  • @dnm72863, not surprising since they were all done with electronics.

  • Wonderfully sad, downbeat logo.

  • This logo used to be on the first season of Sesame Street, which aired from November 10, 1969 to May 8, 1970, as well as the five pilot episodes of Sesame Street from July 1969.

  • I was so bored that I learned how to play this tune on my keyboard. It sounds AWESOME.

  • @MJandST2926. I wonder if they used a syntheizer on the original?

  • @vividwatch47 Same here...

  • this logo ought to bring back some memories for a few

  • I was around four or five years old when I first saw and heard this ident. I was never terrified of it, I loved it. The graphics were sharp and the music had a haunting beauty to it. It's a shame it was around only for a short period of time.

  • how is this scary

  • I had a nightmare when I was six that this came on TV and even though I closed my eyes and covered my ears, I kept seeing and hearing it. Terrifying! I wasn't afraid of it in waking life, though.

  • @karaloyal reminds me of a dream i had, except it was with the turner logo.

  • spooky!

  • great quality

  • NINETEEN SIXTY-NINE. Sesame Street is FORTY this year. Wow.

  • @Pdasilva0324 One Years Old Sesame Street Is 1969 But's Still 40

  • idk if u know but what shows were broadcasted on NET?

  • And the announcer is none other than Fred Foy, who was Dick Cavett's announcer at the time, as well as an ABC staff announcer in New York. In Detroit, during the late '40s and early '50s, Foy was also the narrator/announcer for the original radio version of "THE LONE RANGER".

  • In the low-quality version, i thought the E was green.

  • This had to do with the color phase being off about 15 to 20 degrees.

  • Are you sure?

  • I am. Believe me, I've worked in the video editing business. What you're seeing here is what SHOULD be, in terms of the NET colors.
