  • What is the cheapest milsurp Mauser that I could do this conversion on? I'd much rather buy a turd pile (as you put it) to do this. Though not a turd pile I could get a 24.47 for $190, would that be a good action to work off of?

  • this is cool, can I ream it out for a 45-70 kit? that would be the bomb there.

  • it's better if it was a 357 cal longer range too i guess.

  • Do you need a permit or something to biult your own rifle or pistol? because i really, really want to biuld one. Oh, and i live in illinois if that helps...

  • as a teenager of 15 always shot small bore rifles with my grandad as i got to my 15th birthday he showed me something in his loft id never even seen before must have been hidden it was loads of pieces of rifles that were given to him by his dad when he was younger well he gave them to me as part of my birthday present and that day i sat and built my first ever rifle at was a .45 not too big but was pretty good for a 15 year old and i now enjoy that one rifle that i built :) thx to you i built it

  • Waitaminute, why didn't I see any of these 3-video series in my subscricriptions box?

    Man what I was missing!

  • kinda reminds me of a spanish destroyer

  • Very unique, i like!

  • that would be awesome if they did one for a mosin but in a cheap 9mm round.......or even a 22 lol

  • Interesting conversion idea to a .45acp. I can think of a few other possabilities concidering that factory loads in .45 acp are a subsonic round. The bolt action makes the weapon even quieter and the longer barrel of course insures accuracy and greater velocity. A surpressed .45acp rifle would indeed be ideal for urban varmit hunting/ pest removal. Vermin like skunks and such. I assume the rifle is scopable?

  • where do you get the money for all of these guns?

  • @ClupeGuitar Just work my ass off man. 6 days a week. Gotta work hard to play hard.

  • @Iraqveteran8888 haha i can tell, dude i love your vids and i love rifles.. keep it up!

  • @ClupeGuitar I am mainly a rifle guy....That's why you don't see many pistol on my channel, but that going to change over the next year. I plan on buying some Glocks. Glocks with an "s"

  • @ClupeGuitar I'm hoping that RC K98 was a pos to begin with! Do you know where I could find an affordable Yugo Capture K98? Also I followed your Oxpho Blue and Stock refinish guid on my RC and (except for me being stupid and warping the stock a little to where it was heat expanded) on accident. It came out awesome. I did a full reblue with the oxpho blue and it came out looking practically as good as a new hot blue! Thanks for the vids keep it up man!

  • Can't wait for the finished product.

  • So, let me get this straight, this mod is so you can get a hard hitting carbine at a low price. Sounds good to me, can't wait to see you fire it.

  • sweet! Too much metal work for me, but there's lots of people who would enjoy this project!

  • part 4 please....

  • @jtg199 As soon as I get home from vacation I should be able to take out for a range test. Still have soem machining work to do with the barrel for the mannlicher stock .

  • @Iraqveteran8888 nice.. also what is your favorite handgun.... im leaning towards the 1911a1

  • it would be even better if were chambered for 460 rowland. Then you can shoot 45acp and 460 rowland.

  • Thank you for your service to this country. I was wondering what the most acurate hunting loads in 8mm are. Thank you for your time.

  • @NRA870 My k98k throws the 150 grain Sierra SP bullets out into about 1.5" att 100 yards with irons. Very accurate. I ran those loads on a middle of the road charge of RL-15 and seated them about 0.005" off the lands. They shoot very well.

  • I can't believe you did that to a Deutsche Mauser ! I would do it to a Spanish,Yug or turk.

  • @762gunr To me it doesn't really matter where the rifle came from....if it's a turd its a turd

  • @Iraqveteran8888 Fair enough

  • Interesting!

  • REALLY cool rifle you got there!, hope to see some testing!

  • Now I know what to do with my worn out Oviedo small-ring Mauser...

  • @TomBuhls Rhineland makes a small ring kit, but make sure you get the right one.

  • @jimkressin I am going to try some 300 grain heavies out to 300 yards.

  • I have never see this before! this is pretty awesome!

  • This is a sweet conversion, thanks for showing us!

  • Now Suppress it!!!

  • I like the stock.. I don;t think its ugly as sin.. because you can see the potental to be nice..

  • a bolt gun that recomends to work the bolt hard you ve found your gun....

  • Was that a Russian capture K98 ?? i would have rebarreled it in a rifle round?? 30.06 ??? 308???

  • Very interesting project.

  • could a converstion be done with other rifles based on the mauser, like the arisaka or the springfeild 03?

  • @akdude182 Absolutely. The system would need a few changes, but yes.

  • @akdude182 They also make a similar kit for a Lee Enfield... Makes it into a poor mans Delisle

  • @joehunt1980 to bad i dont have one(yet).

  • hope to see some range videos this weekend from you.. im really considering going this route on the Beat up shot out mauser i have.. cant hit paper at 30yards with it.. this would be alot easier on the wallet than a full out rifle build on the action... looks like a fun plinker

  • @Stangtt Don't hold your breath too much. Wedding reception tomorrow and leaving for Savannah Sunday morning....You never know though.

  • Good work on the gumption. ;)

  • Great video...excellent lighting!

  • You could theoretically use a 50 round drum with this right?

  • @Fordfanforlife777 I have tried the 40 round promag drum and yes it works.

  • Great series its a great conversion .

  • You rock man God bless ,awesome content.

  • Another great series, thanks for posting.

I have seen these before, but had no idea how easy the conversion is.

Now I'll need to keep an eye out for a cheap, rough rifle at gun shows

  • didnt see the first 2 parts but did the inspiration for this come from the british de lisle carbines from ww2?

  • this just screams for a shorter barrel and a big silencer

  • @keesurt It will get threaded for a silencer, but first I want you guys to see the idea for a manlicher I have come up with for it. I call it a "Moe-ser"

  • @Iraqveteran8888 Stick with the idea mannlicher and make one in .338 lapua or .50 beowulf

  • @keesurt I'm thinking a .50 action express

  • @Iraqveteran8888 You being serious about the 50 AE?? WHy not 500 SW? :3

  • hmm i want one i hope thay ship to canada :)

  • @camerl2009 sorry i cheacked out the site and they wont ship outside the US.

  • @camerl2009 don't your rifle mags have to be pined to 5 rounds?

  • @camerl2009 We appear to be out of luck, to quote directly from the Rhineland Arms website: "No exports of the Mauser 45acp kits including Canada, we can ship the wrench though."

  • @314299 I wonder if there are legalities involved? I'd be happy to order them and ship them to you guy myself if it's legal.

  • @Iraqveteran8888 Thanks for the offer but as I understand it the manufacturer has to get a permit from the US State department to export, without that permit it's not legal for anyone to export their goods. If Rhineland won't export it's probably because they don't think the sales would be worth the expense and hassle of the permit process. I'll confirm this with a friend of mine who is a dealer up here and has a very good grasp of the legalities.

  • @314299 Yeah let me know. I'll be happy to help if I can.

  • Is this gun just for fun, or is there a good purpose for it, like home-defense or something?

  • I feel compelled to comment being the first viewer and all!

  • i want 3
