Some think they ended up back in 1958 during Rustin Parr years, which is why no one could find them and their bags were found under untouched soil beneath his house. @MrJo23 When I went to see that movie way back in 1999 with my good friend we thought it was real too. The whole internet thing was at its peak and the marketing was done via the internet making seem like it was a true documentary (lost tapes found). No wonder that movie made so much money.

I live in a tourist town in the desert planes fly over the desert EVERY DAY, but they CAN NOT do anything to help you. Unless they KNOW you are lost and are looking for you. Also they need to SEE you to FIND you. Ever hear about those people that are lost in forests how they are not found like, right off the bat? You need to SEE to be able to FIND.
This kids are DEAD, by the by. They are dead. And these, are from the REAL reels that were found. Not the fucking movie.

for people who bitch about this movie, this is probably one of the most, if not the most successful movie ever made. u think i'm bluffing, well hear me out:
1. this movie had fucking low budget
2.the actors weren't famous or anything
3.and it's hand-held.
with all this, this movie made millions, a fuckin low budged, can J. Cameron pull it off, no, can Spielberg pull it off, no, so stop bitching. i know it's not the best quality movie in the world, but it's the most scary and entertaining shit!!!

@oblivionfan345Tony, it wasn't a monster, it was a witch. The Blair Witch, more specifically. And the ending made perfect sense if you listened to the stories that the local people told about how the witch made the children stand in the corner while she killed the others one at a time.

Although, I suppose it's possible that everyone who hears the Witch in their heads will get the same feeling.

I remember the first time I watched this movie. I was like, WTF?? How come I did not hear about this on the news?? And then, to top it off, they gave the other documentary (mockumentary) Curse of the Blair Witch on TV. I was again going nuts. Why didn't I hear of this? Poor guys, man. And then I find out it's all Bullshit. The whole long story of the Blair lady and Parr. It was all made up for the movie. I felt so stupid. LOL

@MrJo23 When I went to see that movie way back in 1999 with my good friend we thought it was real too. The whole internet thing was at its peak and the marketing was done via the internet making seem like it was a true documentary (lost tapes found). No wonder that movie made so much money.
I doubt that strategy would work today, people would just look it online and do further research.
Two girls next to me at the movie were scared to death.

actually I think it's more like she realised that the blair witch is real. The guy is not dead at the corner, he's made to face the wall because that's how the blair witch kills. While it kills the victim, it makes the victim's friend face the wall, before killing the friend later on. So when she saw that her friend was facing the wall, she knows she's going to get killed. That's what I thought anyway..
