I have seen many of the animatronic videos and most of them are just demos Can someone PLEASE post one about how to MAKE an animatronic and not just show off? I want to post at least ONE tutorial on how to do that! I ask 'cause I want to make the most BADASS bat-dragon costumes ever made Bat-dragons are the ones that have two legs and uses their front limbs as wings in the air and walking limbs on the ground. I definitely know what I want it to look like but i don't quite grasp the mechanics yet

@robert2855 Actually, there are dragons that have two legs and a pair of wings. The distinction is that dragons breathe fire and wyverns do not. It is also typical for a wyvern to have duller colors than most dragons, and wyverns ALWAYS have only two legs and walk mostly upright. Two-legged dragons often use the wings to walk on as forelimbs. Sorry if i completely sniped you there, I'm just really into stuff like this.

@basser basically, yeah. but the main distinction between drakes and dragons is the size. drakes tend towards smaller sizes and dragons towards larger sizes. it's like the difference between a horse and a pony.

How'd you get the shaping and covering done for the feet? As I'm looking to do a detailed latex skin cover for when I make a set for myself for an upcoming cosplay but would need a nice base such as that you have in this vid. I'd really apreciate your help me in this matter ^w^

@nekochan1987 you could latex over th pipe foam and Tapeand then paint. i have done that before. make sure the latex is nice and thick.

@peaceall2now actually it really isn't, it just depends on the angle of the stilts, mine were at a 45 degree angle and though I could walk around fine in them it hurt my toes after about an hour, I just needed to make the angle lower

Those are the most aesthetically pleasing stilts I've seen so far. If you want to make them look a little smoother, you can take a little off the "Heel" of the foot, the back of the stilt. You'll still be able to walk, and the leg will look a bit more natural. I need to do that myself *eyes own DG stilts*
